Jin demanded answers from his parents, enraged.
"Why did you reveal the surgery to the police!?"
Mrs. Xiong was exasperated. "Think about the situation from our perspective, Jin. Do you even know that Ehuang's parents were shamelessly throwing all the blame to you? That you are a bad boy who is manipulating her into going against her parents and how you are brainwashing her! They even dug your middle school records!"
"So what!?"
Mr. Xiong pressed his brows. "You might think that we acted cruelly but all we did was to protect you. The defense lawyer would have left no stone unturned to blame you for this too - that you brainwashed Ehuang into stubbornly going for the procedure despite that it was her decision to which Dr. Yang agreed.
These are all serious allegations, Jin. Even Ehuang's testimony doesn't matter anymore because everybody has been made to believe that you are behind it. She is doing this because she only listens to you."
