Mingshen stared at Si Yu, a mix of questions and disbelief in his gaze.
Si Yu let out another hiccup. "Yes."
The same disbelief was etched on Jia's expression as well.
As in Zhuo Syaoran's family?
She quickly asked, "If I may ask, do you know the nature of evidence that Mr. Lingyun gave you?"
"He said that it was surveillance footage of somebody in a big black car picking up Nuwa. That was the last time she was seen in a public space. But *hic* the footage was very grainy…It wasn't visible which route that black car took and the number plate wasn't so readable either."
"So why does he suspect these two families?"
"Because that road leads to the place where their villas are. It's a whole private area where the Zhuo and Hou families reside. So Lingyun was sure that Nuwa was taken by either the Hou or Zhuo family's driver. But before he could investigate it further…" her eyes teared up at the end.
