Adam stood before his sprawling property in Uptown Quarter with an accomplished smile on his face.
Currently, he was overseeing the construction that was going on. Furthermore, the five properties surrounding his manor had also been bought—courtesy of the Flynn Patrairch.
All those manors had been broken down, and in their place, something new and grand would soon be constructed.
"My Lord, I…" Rowan, Adam's assistant, found himself at a loss for words. "How did you manage to pull this off?"
"Hehe," Adam chuckled sneakily. "A rich man owed me a favor—a big favor."
"Still…" Rowan loudly gulped. "Buying the surrounding properties should have cost about two hundred thousand gold pieces, at least!"
"Don't worry," Adam grinned. "Like I said, he's rich."
He then turned to look at the middle-aged man and patted his shoulder in encouragement, "Rowan, I'm going to leave this whole thing to you, okay?"
