"Ah, yes, of course." Adam gazed at the old man with a taunting look in his eyes. "Forgive me, Lord Ballard, for insinuating that you might die barking at a dog."
"This motherfu—" Ives had had enough. However, Sabrina Benton coldly interrupted him.
"Councilor Ballard, need I remind you where you are?" She said in a flat tone. "Please show some restraint. Quarreling with a child is the last thing expected of a Councilor of Ravenfell."
She then gazed at Adam and reprimanded, "And you, Count Constantine, would do well to show proper etiquette towards those of higher station."
Adam looked at her deeply before bowing slightly. "You're right, my lady. I am not well-versed in all these matters. So, please forgive me."
