"Brother, Brother, wait for me," Baili Xia chased after him energetically from behind.
Mu Xiaoyao, however, kept walking ahead, his pace not slowing down at all.
He walked with what he considered a not-so-fast pace, but Baili Xia found it quite difficult to catch up.
In the end, she almost gave up; propping her belly, gasping for air, and pleading, "Brother, I can't walk anymore; my stomach hurts; please wait."
The words "my stomach hurts" finally made Mu Xiaoyao stop. He stood still and turned back to look at her.
Baili Xia took several deep breaths before she could catch up with him. "Brother, why are you walking so fast? Did I say something wrong just now?"
He didn't speak but, before she could fully react, suddenly pulled her over and embraced her in his arms, neither too lightly nor too forcefully.
"Brother!" Baili Xia was startled and quickly struggled, but she couldn't break free from the grip of his long arms.
