We got to the Research Lab area pretty quickly.
That's not to say that we didn't meet any resistance but more because we had the firepower of so many drones with us that most of the enemies that showed up quickly got shot down the moment they appeared.
The good thing is that they've only been throwing the normal Psionic Chrysalis at us so far and there haven't been any variants. Thus, it wasn't too hard for us to deal with and we got through them just by relying on the stones.
Just as I was thinking that we might be able to get there without any problem, we turned the corner and found one of the variants blocking the corridor.
This one was the really buff human form version except it had four arms with two ending in a mass of tentacles while the other two ending up with hands.
The crystal was embedded in the centre of its chest like a heart, acting as its only weak spot.
The legs also seemed to have been enlarged so it was no longer top heavy like the previous one I saw.
