With the reduced number of ships, we really needed to avoid combat as much as possible now.
The good thing was that we had fewer ships so it was harder for people to spot us.
I leaned back in my chair and let out a sigh, "Do you think they'll still come after us?"
Amber looked up from her map console, "Oh, no doubt about it. They're definitely not done with us. They definitely let us go because they know they can catch up to us easily. And if they were to just search the wreckage of the ships they just destroyed, they could probably get the scans of their computers to figure out where we were going and just wait somewhere."
"Why are these pirates so persistent?"
Mara turned to me, "I do not think they are pirates, Captain."
I raised an eyebrow at her, "Not pirates? Then why are they attacking us? They can't be doing it for fun, can they?"
