I'm not gonna lie… Seeing the two girls who were so against eating my food now literally licking their plates clean was quite satisfying.
I thought they might even try to pretend like they don't like the food to preserve their dignity or something but they just went all out and ate everything that was given to them.
They even had a forlorn look when they realised that all the food was gone.
By the way, they were at the denial phase but skipped past the anger phase and straight into the bargaining phase.
"Please! We'll do anything to get more! What do you want?"
"Yes! Just another serving will do! Just one!"
I waved my spoon at them, "Next meal time would be dinner time so you'll have to wait until then."
The other researcher begged, "Can't we just have something for now?"
Amber cut in and scowled at her, "Do you think our food stores are bottomless or something? We have to ration it to make sure we have enough food to last until our destination!"
