I watched as the mob of researchers rushed towards me, all of their hands grabbing at me as though they were trying to strangle me.
Surprisingly, the five researchers that we were escorting quickly stood in their way, using themselves as a shield to block the mob from reaching me.
I thought they were protecting me at first until they started yelling at them.
"Back off! We got here first!"
"We get first dibs on the Crystals!!"
"We only asked for the research lead! Why the heck are all of you here?!"
"Get in line you thieving vultures! We were here first!!"
"You guys better stop right there or we're gonna beat you!!"
Right… They were trying to protect the Crystals… Of course they were…
The mob didn't try to stop themselves and crashed into the group of five and surprisingly, they managed to dig in their heels and hold them back, the five of them only sliding back a metre or so before stopping.
