Lyrus couldn't believe it when he picked up her scent. He had thought it was his mind playing tricks on because of what Vivienne said, but it drew closer, and then there was no doubt that she was the one.
No one else could have her unique scent.
With that thought in mind, he stood up immediately no longer paying attention to whatever his sister was saying. The moment he opened the door, her scent overtook his senses, and all he could think of at that time was to have her in his arms, so he pulled her into his embrace.
"Lyrus…"she called a little startled, but her hands went around almost immediately, and he could feel her relax in his arms. She was at ease, and so was he.
"Your Highness," Adrian uttered as he rose to his feet. But she didn't have the time to acknowledge his greetings.
"Why didn't you reach me through the mind link?" Lyrus asked in a low voice, his face buried in the space between her neck and shoulder. "Did you encounter any trouble on your way here?"
