Chapter 75 - Meeting the Immortal

"Ah.. Uncle Qrow's passed out. Wait when'd he start drinking?" Yang asked, having finally pulled herself away from the thread long enough to see her Uncle passed out on the floor.

"For shame, Drunkle..! We were supposed to go to Beacon today!" Ruby exclaimed, not realizing her own part in why Qrow decided to drink himself to sleep.

Yin snickered and pat Ruby on the back. "Well, guess we'll just need to entertain ourselves then. We can bring Em and Shia back, since we'll be staying in for the night."

Yang's eyes lit up, an idea forming in her head.

"We can break the ice! Get a good game of Truth or Dare going!" Yang stated, instantly getting Jaune and Ruby's interest.

Yin immediately tried to reject it, "No way. Last time we did that I was caught with Yasaka's bra."

Ruby and Jaune both looked at Yang for an explanation. The blonde simply snorted in amusement.

"That's 'cause all you ever do is Dare. That was the day I realized how long your tongue was..." Yang folded her arms, stating with a small flush to her cheeks.

"Please don't phrase it like that.. I was only dared to drink milk..." Yin coughed awkwardly.

"Outta my bellybutton..." Yang replied with a strange mix of amusement and embarrassmemt.

Yin shrugged and chose to deflect the blame, "That was Kuroka's fault anyway. Her and Akeno kept making us do these weird dares."

Yang nodded, "Like making me Koala hug off your back for ten rounds. Or getting us to wear each other's clothes.. Weird, they were weird."

"That they were. This time will be different. Nothing too weird. Just a few friendly dares while we get to know Em and vice versa." Yin nodded, confident this game wouldn't get out of hand.

"I think things are getting out of hand.." Yin muttered, grabbing a few locks of her now dark red hair. Thanks to Ruby, who had dared her to go to the nearest pharmacy store, buy hair dye and dye her hair right inside the store while in a video-call with everyone.

She looked at the others, such as Jaune, who she dared to chug a bottle of maple syrup. He actually managed to do it but projectile vomited on Qrow, who was passed out on the floor still. Ruby was strung up by the leg, hanging off the ceiling due to Yang's odd dare that she do so while trying to get out only by using her free foot. Emerald was quite tame, daring Yin to allow her to use her lap as a pillow. Of course, Shia quickly became jealous and used the same dare, resting her head on Yin's other thigh. Lastly, Yang had been trying her best to drink some milk directly from her own cleavage, having been dared to do so from Yin.

"Uuugh... I don't feel so good.." Jaune complained from the bathroom, hunched over the toilet bowl.

"Just..-hhhng! -keep puking, Vomit boy. Son of a.. it's right there! Stretch, tongue! Stretch!" Yang grumbled, holding up her breasts while she had her head lowered as far as it could go.

"Uuuuh.. I've almost-" *Crash!* "Got it..!" Ruby announced, finally freeing herself.

Emerald and Shia kept quiet, though that was entirely due to having fallen asleep at this point. Their heads nestled in the soft flesh of Yin's legs.

"Okay! Who's next!?" Ruby asked with an almost creepy smile.

Yin shook her head. "Nope.. We're gonna escalate if we keep going. We can watch movies, then go to bed and hope our dear Uncle is better by tomorrow. Of course, I won't object to a little drawing on his face but that's up to you." Yin replied, adding in the last part to sate Ruby's mischievous mood.

*Sluuuurp~*

"Finally!" Yang cheered, having finally managed to drink the milk out of the little pocket in her cleavage. Yin stared a little too long at the droplets making their way down her belly before shaking away the mental image already imprinted on her mind.

While they enjoyed an evening inside, unknown to them, Qrow's scroll had been vibrating incessantly with messages and calls from Ozpin and Glynda Goodwitch. Given that he failed to update either on his whereabouts in hours, the amount of calls and texts he received was worrying. But that was for future Qrow to worry about.

-The next day-

"Glyn-" "No. No excuses, Qrow. We nearly started a damned MANHUNT for you! You check in at the hotel and bring them to Beacon. Why was this hard for you? I really want to know." Glynda, a beautiful, curvaceous blonde woman with hair tied in a bun asked while her, Qrow, Yin and Yang awkwardly rode the elevator to the Headmaster's office within Beacon.

"..I was being roasted. Like.. a lot. It was a bit reckless but I figured 'Hey we're already safe in Vale' so I started drinking. Every roast, I took a swig. There was a lot.." Qrow grumbled.

Glynda looked like she was going to have a stroke. The worst part is, this was all true.

"I. Apologize.. that this is how your first visit is going, Miss Xiaolong. Or should I call you Miss Branwen..?" Glynda fixed her glasses, doing her best to try and ignore Qrow by focusing on Yin.

"Oh don't be. This was pretty amusing. But I guess all the fun can wait. Now's the time for serious-talk." Yin replied as the elevator doors opened.

"Quite." The doors opened to a very interesting office space. Well, one could barely call a place such as this an 'office' as it looked more akin to a wizard's spire than a principal's office. The giant clock that covered the window behind his desk perfectly framed the figure of the immortal man.

"Welcome to my abode. My study, office, living space all tucked into one room. I've been eagerly expecting you. Unfortunate we couldn't meet yesterday.." Qrow looked away shamefully at the last part, suddenly finding a random shelf full of books interesting enough to look at.

Yin shrugged as Yang waved over at the immortal. "Yo, Professor! Don't get too mad at our Uncle. Those comments really went for the throat after a few lines. I think there's already an AI song made from the roast comments."

That extra fact made Qrow's shoulders slump. Ozpin hid a smirk and nodded.

"It's quite alright. I was just worried, you see. You both have incredible gifts after all. Some extra caution is warranted. Please, have a seat." Ozpin gestured to the two seats in front of his desk.

Yin watched their friendly interaction and sat next to Yang. Ozpin broke the ice, asking about Yang's time in Domremy. The question was innocent-sounding enough but Yin knew he was prodding for any small piece of information. Given he knew Yang and the rest encountered Yin in Domremy, he likely figured a recap of what happened from Yang would help paint a bigger picture for him and was less blunt than simply asking Yin: 'What were you doing in Domremy?'

"So we came over, as we always do in Spring. And we heard a horde of Grimm were dealt with by two newcomers to town. I was excited to see Huntsmen other than our parents, so Ruby and I rushed over to the Hotsprings where they were staying and found Yin." Yang smiled affectionately, leaning slightly on Yin's arm.

Ozpin and Glynda smiled, though Glynda's seemed more a subconscious reflex, more genuine than Ozpin's. Yang then thankfully skipped their otherworldly trip and explained how Yin and Shia stuck around, reunited with Summer and Tai and trained Jaune and Ruby physically. She could tell Ozpin was hoping for more, but he kept whatever questions he had to himself and turned his attention to Yin.

His brown eyes focused on her, taking in how similar she looked to Raven. But seeing her oval-shaped pupils and calm smile, he reckoned she was quite different than her Mother was at her age.

He thought about how to open up the conversation, but surprisingly, Yin beat him to it.

"Nice to meet you, sir." Yin offered her hand, reaching over the table. Ozpin quirked his brow subtly but accepted the gesture, shaking her hand with a small amount of surprise on his face.

"You as well. Is this is your first time in Vale? I do like to hear impressions of our city from newcomers." Ozpin asked with a smile that portrayed interest.

Yin tapped her fingers along the top of the desk and made a display of 'thinking' of her answer.

"It's very big. I've only seen a little bit of it so far. The architecture is impressive, especially Beacon's. But anything aside from base appearances I'm still forming opinions about."

"Such as..?" Ozpin inquired.

"The people, politics, criminal underbelly, discrimination intensity.. That sort of thing." Yin replied with an eye-shut smile.

Glynda nodded in approval. As a teacher, she appreciated students who could see the bigger picture. Most of her students simply didn't think about these things when considering Vale as a whole. It was a huge city. Sure, they were safe from Grimm but it wasn't without its own issues.

Yin ignored the prompt, her body naturally adopting a more relaxed posture as Ozpin nodded at her answer. Inwardly, he decided not to treat her as he normally did with Raven. He had expected her to have some opinions about Vale, given her previous experience as a Bandit. He was even prepared for her to be standoffish. All to know how exactly to deal with her when he'd ask some particularly important questions. That plan went out the window, and so he decided he'd be as straightforward as he could be.

"I see. I hope you come to like it as I do. Now, I'd like to get straight into the most important reason I called you here, if you don't mind." Ozpin stated, adopting a more stoic, serious demeanor.

Yin nodded. "Sure. Please, ask away."

"I'm curious about a lot but I'll ask the biggest questions first. Do you possess magic?"

Glynda quietly moved back, catching a particular look from Ozpin that said: 'Be ready for anything'.

"Yup." Yin replied, popping the 'p'.

Ozpin nodded appreciatively. "Can you show us?"

Yin didn't verbally respond. But her answer was clear. A pressure descended on the office. Pure mana, radiating off her body in waves, submerging the office in a colorless and formless pressure. As if they were a dozen meters under water. Not enough to be uncomfortable, but certainly enough to feel it. Then, it was gone as quickly as it came.

"That was... intense.." Glynda gasped, feeling Yin's presense all over herself, bearing down on her.

"That was cool.. You gotta teach me that." Yang grinned, though her face was a little flushed. Being right next to her, she almost felt like she was 'drowning' in her sister's presence.

Yin smiled and pat the top of Yang's head. In truth, she hadn't really used her magic in that way until just now. She had pushed her mana out but also took some sort of control over it. Her mana acted as a sort of intangible pressure she could control, so of course she had it wrap around Yang, essentially hugging her all over her body.

Ozpin went quiet for a few moments. It wasn't pure, elemental magic as he knew the Maidens possessed. It was raw, unfiltered mana radiating outward from Yin. So that eliminated the theory the sisters could both be Maidens. But that raised another question.

"How did you come to possess such magic..?"

Yin made a difficult expression and started looking around, avoiding Ozpin's face. One that made it seem she was debating to tell the truth. Ozpin latched onto it.

"I am also a magic user, you see. Magic, however is.. not really around anymore. Practicioners are rare. You can trust me not to reveal your secret. And of course, you're not in trouble of any kind." Ozpin assured, supported by Qrow and Glynda who both nodded.

[Acting skill: Level up! Expert: 4-5!]

Inwardly, Yin thanked Ozpin for going along and jumping to conclusions. Of course, she wasn't going to completely lie. To get people to believe a lie, some truth ought to be sprinkled in.

"Well.. it all began when I started having these 'pains' when I was a kid." Technically true, as she was in the process of becoming a Dragon.

"My body would change. Every time I went through that pain, I'd get stronger." Also true.

"Though one day, I underwent another change. During a stressful time in my life, my heart began to thump harder than it ever had. I passed out while it was happening and had a.. strange dream." Partially true. Still, Ozpin listened carefully.

"I saw a black-ish dragon in my dream. I can't remember much but he told me to be careful in the future. To better the world and see it for myself.. Then he disappeared and I could control blue flames and other stuff. Of course, I grew since then." Yeah, that whole part was bullshit. But given that only Ozpin here should even know who that was, he believed it.

"Did!- Did he say anything else..?" Ozpin asked, barely containing his shock as theories flooded his mind.

Yin shook her head. "Sorry, no. I haven't heard from him since."

Ozpin slowly slid back on his chair. Then, he looked to Yang.

She shrugged. "I didn't see anything like that. I think Sis getting that magic made me get it too."

Ozpin clasped his hands and took an uneasy breath. The implications of this were immense. He asked himself 'What if they returned..?'. Then shook away the thought. If they did, would they do so in such a roundabout way?

Then another thought sank in, his expression froze and Yin realized her plan was a success. He asked himself a question.

'What if they were the children of those Brothers?'
