"Where are my manners… My name is Shin Matsushita. You can call me Shin. Pleased to make your acquaintance."
He bows slightly, while the other two don't do anything.
"Likewise…"
"Haha, I'm glad we get to meet like this. You are rarely alone, are you not?"
"What are you, a stalker?"
"Oh, heavens no! I promise it is nothing like that. I'm merely observant, is all. Say, this guy you are always with…"
Yuki's eyes sharpened at that, though she hid her… less pleasant thoughts.
"…What about him?"
"This guy… This guy?! I'll show you who's just some guy… I'll rip open your rip cage and then you tell me again master is a guy and see what happens…"
"I'm sorry. Yamato. Amazing person, I saw so myself at your test competitive exam."
"You were there, huh…"
"That I was. You two were quite the spectacle. Though I imagine most would just say you were… The best things he did had gone unnoticed after all."
"Is he talking about the letter trap? This guy is good… Sigh, I wish a tree would just fall down on him right now."
"The thing is…"
"Are you just going to keep stalling time?"
"…Of course not. You misunderstood me. I was just conversing."
"Yeah, up yours. You ain't allat. It's obvious that you just want to keep me away from somewhere. Probably my camp. Well, sucks to be you cause I don't even need to be there."
"…Oh? Got me all figured out. Though, do explain… Why don't you need to be there?"
"Someone else is going to take care of whatever you had planned on doing. Which I assume is some kind of raid. Barbaric, if you ask me."
"Yet efficient."
"Oh well, if that's what does it for you."
"…So what are you after, if not getting back?"
"I was going to get the objective from class 1, duh."
"Oh really now, were you?"
"In fact, I was."
"And who has it? Do I? Or my friends here? Maybe we hid it away?"
"Ah, don't be silly. Hiding it away is against the rules. It must be in possession of a student of your class at all times. I know you don't have it because you think you are too smart to do the dirty work, which is why you brought henchman one and two over there. I also know that you aren't the one in full control of your class, because there is someone you are unable to keep on a leash. Satoshi, we met earlier. Arrogantly sure of his own strength and most likely the strongest from your team. I bet you would have liked to give it to someone unremarkable, that would slip right past anyone's attention. But you couldn't bring him to agree, thus he took it upon himself."
"..Don't be silly.That's pure speculation."
"Oh, whomp whomp. The slightest bit of hesitation there, good liar. Just not good enough. Just so you know, my Yamato would have been able to convince anyone that I was wrong, if he were to be in your position."
"…"
"What's wrong? Cat got your tongue?"
"…I see now. I underestimated you. I was under the assumption that he was the brain, and you were the strength. But it seems you have one also. I won't make this mistake again, rest assured. I will treat you as the smart, capable person that you are."
"Are you trying to manipulate me?"
"Haha, of course not."
"Don't worry. I only asked to make you flustered. Of course you were. Try again. Maybe this time it'll work. Tenacity works wonders on young maidens such as myself."
"…I see we are done here."
"I don't recall anything having started in the first place."
"You guys take care of her… I'll be at the base…"
Shin turned around and the other two walked towards Yuki, who just kept standing there with no effort to walk away.
"Good boy. Walk away."
He didn't react to that, though he was clearly irritated.
"And you guys just don't talk or what? How boring. But I guess parental love is not for everyone…"
Without reacting to her rage bait, the two attacked in sync with water and lightning. Though Yuki just pulled up a wall of stone out of the ground which the lightning was not able to shatter.
"Ooh, you guys are like zombies! How gross, haha."
They walked around the wall and started circling Yuki.
"I don't know if you noticed, but I'm like, way stronger than you."
The two, once Yuki is directly between them, raise there hands which forms a string of electricity between their hands, wtih Yuki right in it. This one is also way stronger than the first one, and Yuki has not enough time to pull up any defenses as the connection of the electricity is nearly instantaneous. Though when it hits from both sides, nothing happens.
"Oh no, ah, the pain, the agony!"
Upon closer inspection, the electricity is not actually entering her body. A thin layer of mana covering her entire body is redirecting it all into the ground.
"Common, I did that the second you started with your water combo thingy. Do better. You're class 1 after all! Aren't you embarrassed that you can't beat a class 3 girl on her own while you are two?"
Her taunting is still being ignored, much to her disappointment.
"Tell you what. You guys give up and lead me to your camp, and I let you off without hurting you too much."
Still nothing. Instead they now close in and get into hand to hand combat range.
"You guys, I'm bored…"
They respond with one trying to kick against her her, and the other against her leg at the same time.
"Don't you find it self degrading to stay silent? Is not the ability to communicate so directly what differentiates you from the common animal?"
She lifts two walls from the ground again, which have each of them break their foot upon impact. They wince in pain, and try to back off. Though they fall onto the ground as they find themselves unable to stand up straight.
"I think I'm done here. Maybe next time, guys."
She just walks off, into the direction Shin went. Even though he has a slight head start, Yuki would get to him in no time.
Meanwhile at the camp of class 3, Elara was just gathering everyone together when five class 1 students arrived with clearly hostile intent.
"Hand over the objective. Don't make this difficult."
"What is that? A mere peasant directing orders at me? I must've misheard. You want to try that again?"
"You heard me. There is a reason why you are in class 3, and we are not. What chance do you have?"
"Aha, disgusting. I don't deal with chances. Onky with victory."
"Not what we've heard from your test competitive exam. And on that note… Where is he?"
"Tsk… You wanna pick a fight, you can get one! It's twelve against five here."
"Final warning."
"…Go!"
As Elara gave the signal, Mikio, Fuze, Toma and Ohta attacked head front, while the rest of the class surrendered the class 1 students. Elara, Rika and Aoi stayed behind and prepared range spells. The class 1 student just sighed, and the rest got into a defensive position.
"…This could have been so easy."
"It will still be for us."
"We will see…"
All five casted a levitation spell and shot a blue fire at the ground, which behaved like a liquid rather than wild flames. Or a burning liquid, consisting of flames. It spreads quickly across the ground, forcing everyone to fly up. Aoi and Rika quickly casted water spells to keep the tents intact. The fire was stopped from expanding but couldn't be put out yet. Ohta was able to block most of the attacks with his mana shield, while Mikio could dodge them with his time magic, which the class 1 students had a hard time adapting to. As they made calls to eschother, a crack in their defense allowed Elara to move into the action and attack with her fan, which could even keep up with Yuki. Elara cast a fire ring around the five, which right after forming closed in to the center nearly instantaneously. However all of them were able to cast defensive magic just in time. Though they were still pushed closer together.
"Oh, Bravo! You might do after all, you little peasants."
"I'll show you peasant…"
He molded some fire into a spear, which he then threw directly at Elara with incredible force and speed. She was just barely able to dodge.
"Haha, missed. As expected of a peasant such as yourself. No proper training in the usage of such weapons, I presume."
"Did I miss…"
She turned around, and the spear directed hit a tent which already burned too much to put down. It started to spread so quickly that Aoi took her attention from the fire beneath them, which in turn allowed that fire to escape onto the tents as well and set everything on fire. While the others kept fighting, Elara and the class 1 student that seemed to be in charge here had more of a separate duel.
"Oh no, my tent. Whatever will I do…"
"I don't know. What will you do about it?"
"You're starting to get on my nerves, y'know! I've dealt with stronger and smarter people. You don't look threatening to me whatsoever. And wanna know what else?"
"What else is that?"
"They also taught me this…!"
Using up almost all of her mana at once, she pulled water out of a near by lake. Not as much as Yuki did in the test exam, but still quite a bunch. Once it was all a giant sphere in the air, she threw it directly onto the class 1 students, also extinguishing the flames. Although the entire camp was leveled in the process. After that she fell out of the air, losing consciousness. But she was catched by Aoi and Rika, who now didn't have a fire to put out anymore. There was no sign of the class 1 students after that.
