Estrella remarked after Hannah left the office.
Lucas ignored the remark.
"Anyway, as I was saying, your feeling of emptiness should be because you have the roots, but you are lacking the substance."
"Hence your advice to try absorbing energy later?"
"Exactly. The old alien said Earth is special, and me even more so. You followed me through most of the baptisms, so you should also be special and that's why you managed to project your presence like me."
"But you show no sequelae."
"It's because I'm the protagonist."
If she hadn't been afraid of hurting her hand, Estrella would have punched the smug face before her.
Lucas noticed her irritation and promptly changed his expression to a more serious one before giving a more reasonable answer:
"I might have seemed to be joking earlier, but remember that I bathed directly within the essences of the world, while you just got some bits through me. So I'm really different from you."
