Dust took over the floor, before it was pierced through on one side by the alien making a run for it, his lips pursed from the pain of his broken left arm adding itself to the one of his cracked right arm.
Lucas raised an eyebrow. He had nothing against the alien, but they were in a dark forest, and the latter had been quite hostile before, almost impaling the little one in the family even, so no quarter.

The damn sound resounded again like an omen, leaving Hannah behind and causing the alien to freeze.
The latter wanted to raise his head to get a better measurement of the distance Lucas had just covered to appear in front of him, but he thought better. He looked at the indifferent golden eyes in front of him, and like cornered prey, or here, evolver, energy exploded from him.
