Chapter 48 - CHAPTER FORTY EIGHT

The first rays of dawn filtered through the tent's fabric, casting a soft, golden light. Yara stirred, feeling the warmth against her chest. The desert night had been very chilly. They would need more furs for when they're travelling on their own. 

She yawned, snuggling against the warm pillow. Her brows furrowed with confusion, there hadn't been any pillows on the furs when they went to bed. 

As she opened her eyes, she was met with the dragon's unimpressed gaze. Turns out, as usual, she had rolled over to the dragon's side of the furs and was clinging it the dragon again.

"Is this going to be a recurring event?" he asked dryly.

Startled, Yara scrambled away, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment. Before she could respond, she heard giggles from outside the tent.

She glanced towards the flap and saw some of the women from the camp, smiling knowingly at them. "This isn't what it looks like," she muttered, more to herself than anyone else.
