Chapter 176 - Sister of the Saintess

Amy decided to go to the Sun dorm quietly while everyone is asleep as she did not want to cause a commotion upon her return the night before her official return. Since Viola is seen as a saintess, people might see her in a similar light since they share the same ability and relation. The last thing she wants right now is the attention.

"Welcome back, Miss Anthos." Amy smiled upon seeing the dorm manager.

"It's great to be back, Manager." she said.

"It has become rowdy whenever you're not here." She says and begin leading Amy.

"I know and I'm sorry for this." she said apologetically, "I couldn't pass on the opportunity to see outside the continent."

"We cleaned up your old room. We wouldn't leave it to someone else."

When Amy opened her room, she saw that it was cleaned up nicely. The fact that they haven't given it to a new student did touch her a bit. "Thank you." She then set her things away and began unpacking.

"Good night, I'll leave you to it then." She said and left.

Amy heard approaching footsteps and saw Viola at her door, in her nightgown and an ecstatic look on her face. "You're finally here!" she beamed.

Both sisters hugged each other. "I felt your presence the moment you stepped foot in here."

"You always have impeccable timing, Viola."

After breaking out the hug, Viola immediately noticed some of the items she had brought in and examined them. "Are they souvenirs?"

"Some of them." Amy replied while unpacking. "The rest are for me. I received letters and gifts from Lysander, Harry, Claudia and Alina as thanks for the presents I sent them."

Viola picked up a book about jewelry making.

"You picked up a new hobby?"

Amy looked up from her spot to see Viola reading the title.

"More like revitalizing my old one. I just want to try expanding my hobbies a bit. This year is going to be different for me, so I am going to improve my craftsmanship and train."

"Your craftsmanship?" Viola repeated then point at the Hollylock weapon set, "You mean you're going to make these again?"

"I never made these. I helped design them, but I was unable to make it," she said, because of the Temporal Disease I suffered that year. she finished.

"This year is going to be lonely since most of the fifth years are going abroad." Viola noted. "I wish you can come with us."

Amy shook her head with an awkward look. "After all the stuff I went through since last year, I think I would rather stay here this year."

"Yeah, and you will get to see the Magical Forest this time."

Viola then yawned loudly.

"Go back to sleep, Viola. We can talk more tomorrow before you leave."

She nodded slowly before heading back to her room.

Amy quickly used her magic to unpack and place her belongings in their proper areas. This year is truly the year that she intends to keep quiet. She will focus on self-improvement and Queen Helena herself will not attempt to contact her now that she knows that the King has met her. To her, it is a warning. It seems even she is intending to be keeping a low profile too.

After getting things settled, she grabbed her nightgown and prepared to change behind a folding screen but is still in deep thought.

The King knew everything because of the Queen's carelessness. That could be a reason, or he could have a spy placed after she got his previous man killed. Judging by his complexion, it is impossible for Claude to live a peaceful life with a power like his. Perhaps this is why he is living a secluded life; the stress is too much.

She got to her bed and sat at the edge for a bit before tucking herself into bed.

The next day came as a surprise to everyone. The literal screams are something she didn't need waking up this early in the morning.

"EEEEEEEKKKK!!!! You're back!" Sabina hugged her tightly to which Amy barely reacted due to exhaustion.

"Why didn't you wake us up? When did you get here? How was your trip? Tell us everything!" Everyone was clamoring around her. Thankfully this is her team and not the whole fricking school.

"Still tired guys." she mumbled tiredly. What she wouldn't give to have coffee in this world. Sadly, it is not available in this academy. She looked at Theseus who seemed rather relieved. "I'm glad you're okay."

"Um, I'm sorry for worrying you like that."

She gave a faint smile before she felt someone pinch her cheeks, she irritably stared at the culprit, Leon.

"You must have arrived late at night if you're this tired." he noted with a curious look.

"Nice to see you guys too." She grumbled before looking at Leon and Rufus properly. To be honest, she isn't pleased to see them, and they knew it too since she never replied to both their letters since the school invasion. She knew what they have done.

"How are you guys since I've been gone?"

"We've done pretty well for ourselves."

So far, classes have been quite normal after getting over the thrill of having her back in school. She signs up for additional university level classes this year to fill up the empty spots.

So far, she has heard whispers of other students who notice her, and they all said the same thing; "She is the Saintess's twin sister."

Amy admits that she felt a surge of pride hearing that the first few times but quickly got bored of it after hearing it all day. Viola must be feeling especially annoyed of all the praises.

After classes are over, she looked over the newspaper. Everyone had begun praising the Prime Minister for opening a few warehouses and introducing new policies.

For the past few years, that bastard is slowly gaining more traction to his family name after the discovery of a nonexistent magic crystal mine found in his territory. She rolled her eyes. Yeah, right. As much as she wants to rid him from the world, it will ruin the story, not to mention that he was admittedly a competent leader especially during the five-year war. While he is a villain in this story, there is a key difference that makes him different from the others. Corrupt, entitled and tyrannical, yes. But irredeemable to the point of being incompetent? no. As much as it pains her to admit it, but Durham's hands are lawfully clean right now. All the people he's taken down are evil and some of them were sentenced for execution anyway so in the eyes of the law and the people, he is morally grey. There is nothing she could do. So, if she wishes to drag him down, it has to be at his lowest and his true colors must be revealed. Amy has long decided before her return that she will wait for the day he royally screws it up because it will happen.
