Chapter 51 - Chapter Fifty

When we pulled up to the company I looked up at it. It was a 15 floors building made entirely of glass and steel. When I was younger I used to run through these halls. My interest and inspiration in game development came from those days.

Once my door was opened I stepped out and stood next to the car waiting for my alphas. Once I felt their hands on my back we started walking toward the entrance. The doors slid open as we approached. We walked in and headed to the desk. I wasn't sure if we had to sign in or dad would meet us down here. Just as we were about to come to the desk we were stopped.

"Thanks for coming Mr. Knight." Dad approached us.

I looked back at Raiven. Was dad talking to him? Raiven shook his head. I looked back at dad to see him holding his hand out to me. Oh. Oh! Of course. We don't want people to know we were related yet. I don't even want them to know I'm Susurisen until I'm in my office.

"Thanks for having me Mr. Borg." I took dad's hand and shook it professionally.

Dad turned around and started walking to the elevators. We followed him. "Do you want to have a tour around the building or go straight to your office?"

"I would like a tour. Need to know where I'm going to be working now." I gave a slight smile. It was so small no one but those that know me would see it.

Dad glanced at me and nodded. "Yes."

He took us floor by floor. Department by department. We met all the leaders of each department. We told everyone I was Mr. Knight. Soon everyone would know who I really was. It felt weird going by Raiven's last name but Aiden and I will both be taking it as ours soon enough.

Once we were done with the tour we headed to my office. I looked forward to seeing the faces of my crew. They don't know who I am anymore than a random employee. A smirk spread on my lips as we approached my office.

I stood in the doorway looking around. I never came in and worked from home but my crew was supposed to come in everyday they worked. As I looked around, only a few people were in the department. I frowned.

"Where is everyone?" My voice boomed through the department.

A few jumped and looked at me. One brave soul approached me. "I don't know who you are but everyone knows our head never comes in so we don't have to always be here."

I frowned deeper. I looked at dad. "Is this how it's always like? No one follows the rules around here?"

Dad frowned and shook his head. "This department, yes. I tried to stop them but they wouldn't listen."

I sighed. "Of course. Don't worry about it." I walked to my office and entered it. I sat down in the chair behind the desk and powered it up. The one that approached me stood in the doorway.

"What do you think you're doing? This office is not yours. It's our heads. We leave it empty for when they come in."

I moved my eyes up and glared at him. "Get back to work." My voice was cold. There was no arguing it. The guy paled and ran out of my office and went to his desk.

I logged into my crew's chat. Everyone was on and seemed to be working but not where they were supposed to be. Once I logged on everyone got excited. I didn't pay attention to any of it, instead posted a comment of my own.

'Get to the office at once.'

Everyone started yelling. Some even tried to say they didn't have to come in or were already there.

'I don't care about your excuses. Whoever is not at the office in half an hour will be without a job.'

Everyone logged off. If I had a guess they were running to be here on time. I stood up and walked to the doorway and stood there with my arms crossed and a frown on my face. Everyone that was in the office glanced back at me. My fingers started tapping on my arm. My foot started tapping. I was getting impatient.

Raiven and Aiden slipped past me into the office. They sat down on the couch and waited. They knew not to disturb me right now. As the 30 minutes slowly passed a few more people arrived. They all glanced at me before going to their desks.

A few minutes before the 30 minutes were up more people entered. They all glanced at me and went to their desks. I could see whispers spreading through the department. I knew they didn't know who I was and were wondering about it.

Right after the time was up I turned toward Raiven. He looked up at me. "Close and lock the door." He nodded and did as I asked. As he did I noticed dad was still here. I raised an eyebrow. He waved his hand at me as if dismissing me. I knew he wanted me to do as I want and not worry about him.

I shrugged and turned back to my crew. All the desks but one had someone sitting at it. "Who isn't here?"

Everyone glanced around, giving each other looks. I nearly growled. I did let out a groan. "Tell me. Now."

The same one that approached me earlier was the one that answered me. "That would be Simon Black. He's the game artist."

I sighed. I turned back to dad. "I'm going to need a new game artist."

Dad nodded and brought out a notebook and wrote it down. "Anything else?"

I put my hand up to my chin. "Not at the moment."

"Ok."

I turned back to the crew. Everyone had confused expressions. "Right. It's time to introduce myself. I'm Killian Borg." I watched as people glanced at dad. "Yes he is my father but that's not why I'm here. I'm Susurisen, your head."

Everyone's head snapped toward me. Some even jumped since they were rude from the beginning. The one that approached me was the most scared.

"Everyone will be punished. Those that weren't here when I got here will get a worse one than the ones that were here."

Everyone hung their heads. They knew that something was going to happen since they never followed the rules. The one from before looked up at me. He looked like he wanted to say something.

"What is it?" I asked him so he would finally get it off his chest.

"What about Simon?" He quietly asked. It was almost like he was afraid of offending me.

"What did I say in the chat?"

"Everyone that wasn't here within a certain length of time would be fired." He basically whispered.

I nodded. "There you go."

Suddenly there was a knock at the door and a jingle of the knob. I frowned. "Raiven."

He stood up and walked to the door. He opened it a bit but not enough so the other person could entire.

"What could I do for you?" His voice was dry and cold.

"Open up. I work here." He tried to push the door open.

"I'm guessing you're Simon." It was a statement, not a question.

"Yes. Now move." Some more pushing.

Raiven never budged. "Not anymore buddy."

The pushing stopped. "What do you mean?"

"The head told everyone to be here within a time limit. You weren't, so you're fired."

"You have to be joking. The head wasn't serious. We all know they never come here."

Raiven looked back at me. "Killian?"

I walked up behind him. "It's ok, Raiven. Thanks. I'll take it from here."
