The attack left Matthew shocked; he hadn't expected the fight to change so suddenly.
But seeing him coming head-on and without a real high 'guard' made him doubt his intentions.
'Is he trying to ram himself into my body so as not to miss me? Doing that against an ice controller is not the best of options.' Matthew smiled and prepared to defend himself, but suddenly, his body spat out blood, and his mind buzzed with pain.
'...My domain is receiving many attacks. I'm afraid I won't be able to take much more from here,' he thought.
That was a second of distraction. As short as it was, it suddenly became a deadly and dangerous situation. He felt Charles's closeness and all those threads, and he became alert. He immediately raised his hand in front of him, and his mind buzzed.
"Time Freeze!"
While attacking from the front. But then he realized he had made a serious mistake.
