Harry was catching his breath as the last undead dropped to the ground.
His blood made a mess on the floor, from the numerous cuts and wounds he sustained.
Slowly, Harry glanced back at the trail of undead bones, scattered on the floor.
"I just took down 12 undead creatures on my own," he stared at the dagger and smiled weakly. "I never thought I had it in me."
He glanced at the countdown screen. It's time was frozen at 00:57.
"Three seconds left," he sighed a breath of relief. "I wonder what would have happened if time had ran out."
[QUEST COMPLETED.....
FLOOR 1 CLEARED....
YOU CAN ADVANCE TO THE NEXT FLOOR....]
A portal appeared on the walls of the ruin. It gave off a blue aura.
Harry stared at the portal and frowned. "I decline. Take me home!"
Another screen appeared.
[ERROR....
HOST CAN ONLY FORFEIT AFTER CLEARING AT LEAST FIVE LEVELS...]
Harry hung his head. "I had an idea it would come to this. I'm badly wounded and I don't have enough strength left in me."
He paused for a while to weigh his options. "But if I stay here, I'd surely die of starvation and thirst. I have to keep advancing."
Just then he noticed something lying on the floor.
He squatted down and picked it up.
"A cloak?" He studied it closely. "It's black and rugged."
[SHADOW CLOAK: A cloak that provides the wearer with the ability to blend in the shadows for a short period of time]
He also found two other items on the floor.
[3× HEALING POTION]
[PHOENIX FEATHER]
Elijah read from the screen, "The green bottles are healing potions and the Phoenix feather grants me the ability to resurrect once should I fall in battle."
"This whole thing looks like some sort of game," Harry stood up to his feet. "But I'll play along."
Without hesitation, Harry wore the cloak and drank a bottle of his healing potions.
All his wounds vanished and were healed instantly.
"I'm going in," Elijah took in a deep breath. "I'm going to win this crazy game and return home to my mother."
He entered inside the portal and disappeared.

With the shadow cloak, Harry was able to clear each floors.
He noticed that with each kill, he gained some XP.
More XP meant more attack power.
He advanced from level 1 to level 3. He also gained some new abilities and skills.
His body were lighter and he could jump higher and move faster.
The first three floors were fairly easier as the undead creatures were skeletons and zombies.
As usual, the portal to the 4th floor appeared. But this portal was different.
It's aura was light red and intimating.
"I have an awful bad feeling about the next floor," Harry thought aloud. "I wonder what's on the other side."
His system opened a screen:
[WARNING!
DIFFICULTY 4TH FLOOR....
EQUIP NEW WEAPON IN THE INVENTORY.....]
Harry had picked up a few drop items from the last three Dungeons.
These items were steel plate armours, swords, healing potions and a rare red rock.
Harry switched his dagger for a sword and drank two potions for a complete healing.
"I've only got one healing potions left," he said, wielding his sword. "I'm going to make the best of it later."
Taking a deep breath, he entered the portal and appeared on the 4th floor.

Harry found himself face to face against four death Knights.
Death Knights were powerful and strong. They swung around huge swords and bore strong shields.
"Death Knight?" Harry took a few steps back. "Are you freaking kidding me right now?"
The Death Knights roared and charged at him, their armour clanking dangerously.
Fear gripped Harry as he clutched the sword tightly and parried the first strike.
But he was no match for their brute strength.
Each blows were relentless and caused him to stagger back.
Suddenly, one of the Death Knights stabbed him.
Harry could feel the cold steel piercing through the side of his guts.
"Not my guts," he gritted his teeth. "I've had it with these guys always going for my guts."
The Death Knights overpowered him, stabbing and slashing at him mercilessly.
Blood stained his clothes as he struggled to retaliate but failed.
He was at the verge of death.
Suddenly, Harry remembered the rare item he had in his inventory.
He swiped through his inventory, desperately.
The red rock.
[CRUSH THIS POWER BOOSTER AND GAIN A POWER BOOST FOR A LIMITED TIME]
Harry crushed the stone with all his might. A new surge of power enveloped him.
Grabbing his sword, he slashed through the Death Knights with one strike, decapitating their heads simultaneously.
"I did it," Harry said, breathing heavily. "I defeated the Death Knights."
The 4th floor was cleared. Harry felt a mad rush of experience points surging through him.

Finally, the fifth Portal appeared.

[NOTICE!
THE SYSTEM HAS PERMITTED YOU TO USE MAGIC IN THIS FLOOR....
CHOOSE YOUR WEAPON....
NOTE: WEAPONS CHOSEN IS PERMANENT UNTIL FLOOR 99]
Three options appeared before Harry: A wand, a scepter and a grimoire.
Harry studied his options closely. "Whatever weapon I choose, I'll be stuck with it until floor 99. I chose the grimoire."
[NOTICE!
YOU HAVE UNLOCKED THE MALEVOLENT TABLET GRIMOIRE....
DEFEAT THE BOSS OF THE 5TH FLOOR AND BE AWARDED A JOB CLASS]
"No wonder this portal has more stronger aura than the rest," Harry thought, feeling chills running down his spine.
A grimorie appeared beside his left side, floating like an opened book.
"Nevertheless, I'll go," Harry said, fueling his morale. "I'll win this battle and come out on top."
He advanced to the 5th floor.
Stepping out of the other side of the portal, Harry looked around his new environment.
He was in vast courtroom, so vast he couldn't see an ending.
Tall pillars held up the ceilings and the floor had cracks streaming with lava underneath.
"I'M IMPRESSED YOU MADE IT THIS FAR, HUMAN?" An unearthly voice boomed across the courtroom.
Harry narrowed his vision to a tall symmetric throne built with bones.
Seated on the throne was an elder lich.
Harry frowned and took an attacking pose. "Are you this floor's boss?"
"OBVIOUSLY, I AM," The lich responded. "BUT I MUST WARN YOU. IF YOU PROCEED TO FIGHT ME, YOU'LL DIE. YOU CANNOT DEFEAT ME!"
Harry's eyes hardened. "I'll die either way if I don't try."
"NO YOU WON'T BECAUSE I'M HERE TO MAKE YOU AN OFFER," the lich laughed. "BECOME AN UNDEAD AND SERVE ME AND I SHALL SPARE YOU."
Harry chuckled. "You think after everything I've been through, fighting all your weak ass undead creatures to get here, I'll be so guilable to serve you?"
"YOU HAVE A CHOICE TO MAKE, BOY!" the lich snapped. "DO YOU OR DO YOU NOT ACCEPT MY OFFER?"
Harry raised his hand and his grimorie opened his inventory. He pulled out his sword and dagger.
"I'd rather die than give up," Harry said darkly, his eyes filled with intent. "I'll defeat you and live to tell the tale."
The lich stood up and raised its scepter. "FOOLISH BOY. FACE MY ARMY AND DIE!"
The Lich summoned an army of Death Knights and undead creatures.
They numbered over a hundred but Harry wasn't afraid.
"I took out four Death Knights," he said breathlessly as the army charged after him. "I can take out an army of these bastards."
Harry's body moved like a bolt of lightning.
