As the voice of the Fire Spirit King faded, all the competitors, except for Frey, launched themselves into the air almost simultaneously. The most frustrated were the Fire Demon Clan. They had been in the innermost circle trying to seize advantageous positions earlier, so their take-off speed was naturally slow; plus, their large bodies were inherently not built for speed. In a moment, the nine Fire Demons found themselves trailing behind.
The Fire Spirit King looked at Frey, who stood there motionless, with a slight frown, "Why aren't you going?"
Frey chuckled and said, "I'm slow, and I can't outrun them anyway, the last remaining piece will be mine. My partner will bring it back to me."
