As I looked at the naughty new version of Calista bawling her eyes out and those people calling for help to drag her out of the river, I couldn't help but recall a certain secret I hid from her until the very end.
I was afraid that if I told her about it. Calista might never be able to take it. In fact, that would be a lie. I was afraid that the good child, or rather, the less evil child I painstakingly raised, would turn evil and all the effort I put in would be wasted.
