The floor of the basement was covered in an inch of standing water, leaked from the old hotel boilers.
Vikram looked at the thick power cables running along the wall. They were carrying the high-voltage electricity needed to power the security grid.
"Rohan!" Vikram yelled, dodging another strike from the enforcer's shadow blade. "Cut the power line on the left!"
Rohan didn't ask questions. He raised his Aetheric pistol and fired a shot directly into the heavy transformer box on the wall. The box exploded, and a thick copper cable fell into the pool of water, sparking violently.
The water began to hum with electrical current.
The enforcer laughed. "You fools! You've trapped yourselves in a live current!"
But Vikram was already performing the Pranayama. He didn't fight the current; he drew it in. His bio-electric Prana acted as a conductor, absorbing the electrical energy from the water and channeling it into his muscles.
His eyes flared with a blinding blue light.
Vikram lunged forward, his speed doubled by the electrical charge. He drove a Prana-loaded punch straight into the center of the enforcer's shadow shield.
The bio-electric force clashed with the dark photons. The shield shivered, then shattered in a blinding flash of blue and black light. The enforcer was thrown back against the steel door, his mask cracking as he slumped to the floor, unconscious.
