Tang San bribed the plane with nearly half of the luck from Heaven Garden, and with the overly tempting offer he presented, he was able to become the unique existence he is now in the absence of the Divine Realm, meant to restore Godhood to its rightful place.
However, he was well aware that the Falan Planet plane was not willing to give him much time, he had to accomplish many things within a limited time and then leave as soon as possible. Otherwise, he would risk being assimilated by the plane. Once that happened, the plane could strip him of his Divine Seat unless he achieved a Divine Realm with the plane, otherwise, he would never be able to leave. But with his limited lifespan and being a former Godking, there were just too many, too many variables, certainly not something Tang San wanted to face.
Only by taking control of the Douluo Divine Realm could he grasp everything in his own hands and continue to steer in the direction he hoped for.
