Chapter 10 - Chapter 10- Encounter In The Rain.

Amy sat, "Get out of my sight, you make me sick" she covered her face with the back of her hands, shooing her away with her other hand.

Delilah bit down on her lower lip, her eyes blurry with tears, her heart shattered in pieces.

What had she done to deserve this treatment?

They were good friends but she couldn't find her friend in the girl sitting before her any more.

With her lips quivering, she called out, her voice cracking, "A~Amy?"

She hoped Amy would she see her, it was her, Delilah.

What had she ever done to make Amy turn on her this way?

"Just go!" Amy screamed, her face red with fury.

The last thread of hope snapped, just like that, Delilah knew she'd lost her.

Her friend, her mother figure, her sister, Amy, she lost her.

Her eyelids trembled, tears slowly slipping down her cheeks, her nose as red like as a tomato.

Delilah turned around, every step she took felt like her legs were filled with lead, quite tears rolling down her beautiful face.

Amy hates her now, she has lost her only friend...

"That isn't good enough, Amy" Victoria chimed in, watching the sad figure leave their presence.

Amy frowned, "I don't deal with the likes of her anymore. She's not on my level so why should I keep her around" she rebutted.

Victoria raised a brow, triumph and pride rose in her heart, "I was only saying" she raised her hands with a shrug.

A Week Later.

Following the Fredrick and Delilah's incident in maths class.

Amy's attitude towards her became even worse, but Delilah was helpless, Amy failed to continue to recognize her as a friend. Fredrick also, never spoke to her after that day.

A day after school, Delilah was packing her bag, lost in thought, when a pitched voice jolted her,

"Hey, Delilah, Amy wants to know if you have an umbrella?" a cute chubby girl, Yang Roupang, she is one of Amy's followers.

Yang Roupang's petite frame and rounded features gave her a deceptively innocent look.

Her shoulder-lenght, dark hair was tied in two high pigtails, accentuating her heart-shaped face and emphasizing her striking facial features.

Her eyes, a deep, rich black, sparkled with a mischievous arrogant glint, while her small, bow-shaped lips curled into a sly, knowing smile.

Yang Roupang may look cute, but her behaviour is very much contradictory to her looks.

She bullies and mock Delilah every now and then, it became severe ever since she fell from Amy's best friend to one of her followers.

Painfully, Amy never said nor complained about it.

" Yes, here…", Delilah smiled forcefully.

She gave the umbrella her father gave to her in the morning to Yang Roupang, who rudely snatched it from her.

Yang Roupang turned around with her nose in the air," Humph!" exciting the classroom.

Delilah sighed, why had Amy's attitude towards her become even more hostile? She just hoped Amy passes a good word for her to Fredrick.

Delilah shrugged and stood up, shouldering her bag, and began to walk out of the classroom.

Old madam Chen wanted her to be independent, so she made Delilah attend a lowly school like fulfilled dreams high school, there are better schools in the city, but grandma insisted on this one.

She's the daughter to one of the most influential businessmen in the country, and here she was, walking home.

Dad mentioned something about keeping her safe, is making her attend such school a way to. Keep. Her. Safe?! I mean, she walks to and from school every day.

Delilah was so lost in thoughts that she didn't hear the pitter-pattering of the rain.

She was walking, but was oblivious the the surrounding happenings.

Just as she was starting to get caught up in her thoughts again, Delilah felt the cold breeze hit her like a wind in winter. She looked up to see rain pouring down around.

"Oh my! When did it start pouring?" she exclaimed, she looked around, but there's no place she could take shelter.

" Great! Just great!" she grumbled as she kicked the poodle of water on the ground with her sneakers.

She couldn't believe this was happening, grandma will nag her to death, she never knew it was going to pour today.

Realization dawned on her, that's why dad gave her the umbrella this morning.

Little wonder Amy asked for the umbrella with her, grandma will definitely nag her to death if she falls ill.

She couldn't think of the possibility of escaping Old madam's wrath, tears welled up her eyes. She's doomed!

She can't even tell why she was crying, she felt overwhelmed, tired and vulnerable. She was constantly bullied, Amy detest her and now this, why, huh, why was it all happening to her?

As she cried, she cleaned her face with the sleeve of her tracksuit when a black umbrella came over her head.

She paused, she was unable to feel the rain any more.

Delilah frowned and turned around. Her eyes almost budged out of their sockets when she saw who offered her the umbrella.

Not in her wildest dreams, would she ever expect was this person?

As their eyes met, a flutter ripples through her heart. Am I dreaming? I must be dreaming. Please don't wake me up!

" C-Classmate Fredrick?" she stuttered, she couldn't decide whether she was stuttering from cold or shock.

Fredrick smiled, his eyes warm, making him approachable "I was nearby, I called, but you didn't answer, more like you couldn't to hear me… Are you alright?" he creased his brows, and he passes a black raincoat to her.

" Huh? You~You called m~me?" she was surprised he knew her name, she felt a blush crept up her face, it was warming up.

" Yes…", Fredrick smiled, his smile was more charming in the rain. " Please take it…", Fredrick added as he stretched out the black raincoat to her.

" Th-Thank you, classmate Frederick", she took it with a shy expression, a faint blush lingered on her pale face.

Delilah was surely above the clouds at that moment. She was so happy, she wanted to hit her head on something. She joyfully put on the raincoat.
