Chapter 210 - Galaxy Dress

Intake was a powerful Monster. He had served in the war with the Emperor, though, unlike Polaron or Demonica, he wasn't the child of some powerful warrior. He was never considered for a spot in the inner circle, and when the Emperor 'died,' Intake was one of the Monsters who somehow kept parts of his sanity and his smaller form.

He was never the strongest, but he was also never weak. A villain that could fight most heroes. Now, he had changed. What little sanity was left had faded, leaving only a mad Monster behind. His eyes were crazed, and he kept expanding awkwardly. One of his legs was longer than the other one, and his neck was extending out like a snake, causing his head to twist around. One arm had two hands coming off of it, and the other limb was awkwardly thick with a tiny hand. He had half of a wing, which stabbed out of his back, and his flesh was made of a mix of things. Stone, dirt, metal, and even glass were thrown in there, as if every part of him was taking everything he could onto himself, not bothering to make sure it matched.

Intake broke through the roof above and began to tumble down into the void that was below. Horns jutted out of the side of his head, and he howled loudly, his maws opening wide. A crackling green energy spilled out, and it blasted from his jaws, aimed at the two girls below.

"Since when can he vomit up lasers!" Cinder jumped out of the way of the attack, dragging Baggy with her.

"Better question: how is he even out of Nightshade!" Paragon hissed and barely jumped out of the way of the blast.

Intake's laser slammed into the white floor, and it began to split apart as the man jerked his head in the direction of the fleeing Cinder. The beam tore across the field, splitting the crater in two and washing over the strange black pod that was inside. Intake finally crash-landed on the ground, the beam dying out. He howled in anger and insanity, and his arms began to claw at himself. All along his body, his flesh cracked and broke as more mouths began to twist their way onto his body. Each mouth opened wide and was about to fire out another wave of energy, this time in all directions, but Intake was suddenly cut off by a loud, piercing roar.

Cinder and Paragon both winced and were forced to cover their ears. It was a loud howl, one that drowned out even the mad screaming that was coming out of Intake. Instantly, the energy Intake had been building up cut out and the monster turned to face the direction of the crater, which was where the noise was coming from.

"I think he woke it up!" Paragon yelled out.

"You think?" Cinder winced and tried to turn her enhanced senses off. She could feel a bit of blood dripping down her ears, and the screaming got so loud the ground began to actually crack. It was similar to when she would scream as loudly as she could with her enhanced lungs, but so, so much worse.

Up top, where the city was, all the Legends that were battling the Victorian suddenly froze. They all twitched, and then, in a flash of light, they exploded, sending out a wave of chaotic energy in all directions, blowing dozens of streets apart. All of fake Oleander shook, and its people screamed as shockwaves rippled through. Then in an instant all of it stopped.

Cinder dropped her arms as the sound finally stopped. She was thankful Paragon was with her, as the girl instantly healed her of any damage she took. 'I get it now.' The voice of the Brightest Star muttered.

"Get what?" Cinder asked.

'The first Legend was obviously a fake like the others, but it was stronger than the other Legends. When 'he' first woke up and saw you, he created that first Legend as a way to kill you. It was likely as strong as it could be and sent after you and the Loudest Thunder. After the two of you defeated it, though, it swapped up its tactics. Instead of making a single Legend that was powerful, it split that power and made dozens of weaker ones as a way to tire you all out. Now, though, all that power is going back to the source. This is the real one. I'm sure.'

She was just in the middle of processing that when a hand stabbed out of the crater. It wasn't as big as she had expected, but it still sent a shiver down her spine. She jumped back alongside Paragon and raised her arms up, going into a defensive stance. What came out of the crater was the pod? The black sphere twitched, and poking out of the top of it was an arm made out of black metal. The sphere bubbled and began to mold, changing shape.

Legend always hated Full Monarch. He hated that no matter how hard he tried, he'd never be able to truly keep up with the number one hero. All because Full Monarch had been born special. Born to be the Brightest Star. Maybe that was why Legend now looked the way he did. Instead of turning into some powerful form, he had instead taken on the image of a pod, but much, much darker. One that belonged to the Rulers. That pod was now awake and twisting itself around, molding into a new, stronger form.

The other Legends all looked like Legends for the most part but were made out of solid gold and very robotic in nature. This Legend, though, looked nothing like how he once did, nor did it look like the other ones. The black metal took shape, and instead of becoming large, he grew to just six feet tall. His face was familiar, but it wasn't the face of Legend. Hair formed on his head, long flowing locks that were made out of metal and went all the way past his waist. An outfit took shape on his body, one with a flowing cape and the symbol of a butterfly on it.

In only an instant, that pod transformed into the perfect reflection of Full Monarch.

Legend was never able to surpass his rival, so his new powers did the next best thing. He became a mirrored image of the one he hated most. He looked almost exactly like how the statues of Full Monarch always looked. His entire body lacked all color, just being a basic black, and like the other Legends, he had a small clock built into his gut that ticked. His face was blank and emotionless, but he struck a familiar pose, one with his arms on his hips, the same one Full Monarch would always do.

"I. Am. Number. One."

Cinder felt another shiver fight its way up her spine. This one was strong. Unlike the other ones, this was all of Legend's full power. He had been throwing those clones out, most likely to avoid using this form. His face lacked emotion, but his voice was full of disdain and annoyance. Hatred at himself and everything he now represented.

Intake was the first to react. The Monster opened his mouth, about to unleash a wave of energy, but in an instant, Intake split into two right down the middle. Legend didn't move. He didn't even bother to look at Intake. One moment, the Monster was perfectly fine, and then the next, he was falling apart separately. As his body hit the ground, Cinder was the next to react. She lifted her arm and let out a loud yell, unleashing a powerful wave of fire. The ground burned, and the white was replaced with black as her fire washed over Legend.

"That won't work." Legend calmly walked through the fire. He actually spoke and seemed to understand what was happening as he ignored the fire that bathed him. Legend didn't teleport or even move fast. He was slow and calm, looking back at her and Paragon. "So, you're the new Lord of the Sun, and you're the new Lord of the Land?" Legend's gaze went back and forth between the two girls.

Paragon struggled to stand her ground, feeling a powerful weight settle down on her as the Ruler stared at her. She had fought the Beast and had managed to come out alive, yet somehow, in this moment, she felt powerless again. She hated that feeling and raised her sword, gritting her teeth. "So what if we are?"

"Die."

Again, there was no moment. Before Legend would vanish and reappear before he struck, but that didn't happen. He didn't budge an inch, yet both Lords suddenly felt a sharp pain in their gut as if they had been punched. Cinder wheezed and managed to stand her ground, though a rib or two was definitely broken. Paragon, on the other hand, was blasted back by the unseen attack.

Letting out a soft growl, Cinder fought through the pain and launched herself at Legend. He kept his arms folded, and his cape flowed behind him. He didn't even bother to block and left himself wide open. Unfortunately for him, she knew his weakness now. Letting out a yell, she coated her arm in fire and boosted it forward, aiming directly at the clock in the center of his stomach. Her plan was to punch right through it, but at the last moment, something stopped her. Her fist was instantly halted, and she felt a hand wrap around her wrist, but there was nothing there. Legend still hadn't moved, yet no matter how hard she tried, she just couldn't get her arm to budge anymore, as if some invisible force was holding her back. Did he have telekinesis or something? Just as she was processing this fact, she felt another sharp pain in her face, as if an elbow suddenly rammed into her. It whipped her head back, and the hand holding onto her let go, sending her tumbling back.

Paragon let out a loud cry and appeared behind Legend, moving as fast as she could. The healer swung her wooden sword out, but just like with Cinder, an unseen force stopped her attack. That was fine, though; she had planned for something like that to happen. Her power ran along her blade, and it suddenly extended, blasting forward. While that happened, she let go of the sword and summoned up part of her realm, changing the area around her into a field of flowers, which jutted out with waves of thorns that whipped through the air. The unseen force stopped most of the vines; the blade that was growing in length wasn't held back and rammed into Legend's back. It actually caused him to stumble slightly, and right as he was recovering, he looked up in time to see Cinder's foot coming down at him.

Cinder felt her body be halted in the air, dozens of hands wrapping around her and stopping her from coming down, but she had expected something like that and grinned as a wave of fire blasted out of the bottom of her foot. It smashed into Legend as if it were a solid object and slammed him into the ground. Right before she could cheer, though, the hands around her body began to squeeze down, causing her to gasp as she was suddenly twisted and tossed away.

Paragon didn't fare much better as she suddenly felt a sharp pain along her body, an unseen fist smashing into the side of her head, followed by a kick to her gut and an elbow to her face that caused her to crash into the ground. As soon as both girls were on the ground, they felt more waves of pain as if someone began to kick and punch at them while they were down.

Legend stood back up and dusted himself off. He was a little burnt, but other than that, he was fine. He was about to take a step forward but stopped when a loud roar broke through the air, and the pieces of Intake forced themselves back together. Legend coldly turned to look at the monster as Intake threw himself at the Ruler. Lazily, Legend lifted his arm up and blasted out a wave of gray light, which smashed through Intake.

Intake instantly stopped dead in his tracks and gasped as his flesh began to change into a gray color, and hundreds of cracks danced along his flesh. Then, in an instant, he crumbled away to ash, breaking apart so badly that he had no hope of recovering. As the ash rained down, Legend turned to look back at the two heroes, but they were gone. Calmly, he looked up toward the sky, seeing a flicker of fire.

Cinder flew up, holding tightly onto Paragon, as she launched herself through the hole Intake had created. She reached the top and flew out of the underground area and landed back in the ruins of the fake Oleander city. She was a little depressed to see how badly the city had been transformed, but she didn't have too much time to think about it, as a moment later, she felt a sharp pain in her gut as if someone was kicking her. She was blasted down and hit the ground, rolling across it, but in an instant, she was fully healed once more as Paragon used her powers on her.

"He's even more annoying now than he was earlier." Cinder groaned, standing back up. The street shook and exploded as Legend literally flew through it and hovered in the air, now looking down at her. "Before, he was teleporting or something, but now he's just hitting us whenever he wants!"

As if on cue, Cinder and Paragon felt a barrage of punches. Each strike was strong and ached, but they were able to withstand them. The issue was there were so many, and they just kept coming, and with no way of telling where they were going to hit, it was impossible to properly defend. Cinder felt a punch to her chin, Paragon was kicked in the leg, Cinder felt an elbow in her gut, and Paragon got slapped across the face. The attacks simply appeared on their body with no warning or reason. While they were getting beat down, Legend charged up a wave of gray light and was about to blast it toward them, but a bolt of lightning rained down and rammed into him from up above. The attack was strong and caused the Ruler to drop out of the sky and crash into the street below.

"Looks like I made it just in time!" Lightning Empress called out. "And I brought back up!"

Standing behind the Lord of the Sky and Weather were Phoenix, Metal Ronin, Myth, and Money Tree. Claymore had remained behind with the other players and was attempting to get them out of the danger zone while the entire city fell apart around them.

Myth stared down at Legend, his face twisting a bit. "That's my dad? He looks like Full Monarch?" The man felt a weird twist in his gut. The image of his father's corpse came to his mind. This had all started because of him. He had found his father after the Beast. His father had begged for death. He wondered now if his dad knew he'd come back. If he knew he'd become this? Legend had never been a good dad, but it still hurt to see him as this. See him as some sort of twisted version of the man he hated the most. "Dad-"

"That's not Dad anymore." Another voice called out, and from the other side of the street, Fable stepped forward, shooting his brother a sad look. He was flanked by the Victorian and Lady Time. "He might have been our father at one point, but Dad died long ago."

Myth smiled slightly, seeing his brother before his sad look returned. He stared at Legend, watching as the Full Monarch look-alike stood back up. "Yeah... I know. It's just sad seeing him like this."

"Yeah. It is." Fable winced.

The Victorian frowned as she stared at Legend. "I hate how he looks like my dad. It's bad enough that I'm putting down an old friend, but for him to look like the spitting image of my father? He basically resembles the statue of my father in the Enforcer tower."

"What are those things around him?" Lightning Empress frowned.

"What things?" Money Tree asked.

"Those... Things?"

"I don't see anything?" Metal Ronin shrugged.

"Me neither," Phoenix admitted.

"No, I see them." Lady Time called out. "It's blurry, but it kind of looks like the outline of a person."

"What do you mean?" The Victorian raised an eyebrow.

"Like there's someone standing behind him." Lightning Empress called out. "I can't really get a good look at it, but it sort of looks like the other Legends we saw. The big gold one, though it's mega glitched, and I'm only seeing parts of it."

"That's how they were hitting Cinder and me." Paragon felt a frown cross onto her face as she glared back at Legend. "He's able to hit you despite not moving. I bet it's that blurry image you two are seeing. I don't know why it's just the two of you who are able to see it, though."

"I thought it was telekinesis at first, but I guess it's closer to invisibility." Cinder nodded. "That other person you're seeing is the one that attacks while the real Legend sits behind and lets it do all the work. It'll work to defend him and block your attacks, but Sky and I found out it can't react to big AOE attacks; just blast it with something rather than try to outright fight it."

"Um, guys." Lightning Empress took a cautious step back, along with Lady Time. "We might have an issue."

"There's more." Lady Time hissed. "Like so many more! I can't even see them all properly. One, two, five, ten, twelve, twenty-"

Legend folded his arms. "Die."

Cinder felt a sharp kick to her side, launching her back. Paragon was uppercutted, causing her to be sent into the air. Metal Ronin heard his suit tear and dent as a fist rammed directly into it, and he was smashed through a building. Myth felt a hand grab him by the throat and begin to squeeze. Money Tree felt something grab his hook arm and twist, dragging him across the street. Lightning Empress raised her arms up just in time to block a strong punch that nearly broke her arms. Phoenix felt something smash into him from above, dragging him down. Fable gasped as an unseen hand stabbed through his gut and impaled him. Lady Time tried to jump out of the way, but something grazed her on the side and nearly snapped part of her in half. Finally, the Victorian felt hundreds of hands punch and kick at her from all directions, and she was bounced back and forth through the air. The woman growled and flexed her arms, launching a wave of golden energy that blasted all the unseen attackers back.

"Enough!" The Victorian launched toward Legend, and she swung out with her sword as hard as she could. The golden blade grew in size until it was as big as a bus, and she could feel something attempting to stop her attack, but she shoved through it, slicing the unseen Legends to bits. The real Legend was forced to dodge and step out of the way just in time. Her sword struck out, and the entire city was nearly split in two, and a wave of golden energy blasted out. The Victorian gave a smirk as she placed her sword casually over her shoulder and almost seemed to sneer down at the villain as she floated up. "You'll have to try harder than that. I can easily tear through all your clones."

"Take it easy, Ms. Victorian!" Cinder called out. "You're going to tear the entire city apart!"

"Who cares?" The woman rolled her eyes.

"There are still people here!"

The golden woman's eye twitched a bit. "Good point-" An unseen hand grabbed the Victorian by the ankle, and she was dragged down to the ground, smashing down next to Legend.

"Die." Legend lifted his foot and brought it slamming down just as hard as the Victorian had swung her sword. Unlike his unseen clones, his strike was beyond powerful, and it actually caused the Victorian to gasp out as she was blasted through the street and sent smashing into the blank world below.

Cinder let out a growl and launched herself at the Ruler. Fire appeared over her hands, bathing them in flames, and she sliced out, sending waves of thin embers that tore through dozens of the clones that tried to stop her. She still couldn't see any of them, though, and that became an issue when three different fists rammed into her stomach. It knocked the air out of her lungs and nearly made her throw up. It didn't matter how strong she was; she was fighting a literal army of infinite, invisible guys. Who knew how many of the clones Legend had actually summoned? As she was gasping and trying to recover, she opened her mouth as wide as she could and unleashed a wave of intense fire toward Legend. Like with the golden one, though, he simply vanished. Apparently, he could still teleport...

Legend suddenly appeared behind Lady Time and struck out without warning. The woman was barely able to react and swirled out of the way, thanks to her enhanced speed from her power. "I'll start with you and the Lord first since the two of you can see my soldiers." Legend's eyes ignited and unleashed a wave of golden light. The beam rapidly grew in size, and it didn't matter how fast Lady Time was; she was unable to dodge the energy wave as it swept her up and tore through rows of buildings and streets, blowing more of the city apart. When the energy finally died down, Lady Time was nowhere to be seen, only a wave of ruin spreading out for miles in front of Legend's face. "Next, the lightning girl."

"Lois, look out!" Myth called out.

Lightning Empress gritted her teeth and forced a shield of wind and lightning to appear around herself. She managed to create it just in time as Legend once again vanished and reappeared in front of her. Her eyes were able to see some of the Legends. Most were just outlines, and a few were just limbs, but she saw literal hundreds of them, which all began to beat on her shield. It was nothing compared to the real deal, though. Legend pulled his fist back and literally punched straight through the barrier. His arm rammed through the shield, and Lightning Empress's body almost folded and nearly snapped in half, causing the girl to let out a loud cry of pain. The Lord was sent rocketing backward through the top of a building and plummeting all the way down to the ground.

"No!" Myth let out a loud roar and transformed into his lion form. He let out a sonic scream, his roar growing so strong it rippled through the air as he blasted it all toward his father. His eyes were filled with hate, and he glared at the man. Fable was right. This wasn't his father. He couldn't think of him like that. This was a creature, a villain, one that was going to kill everyone he cared about unless he himself put a stop to it. He wasn't going to back down. His howl rippled out even louder, and it actually made Legend flinch a bit before the Full Monarch look-alike turned to glare back at him. Legend opened his own mouth and screamed back. His yell blasted through Myth's, and the sonic boom that followed rammed into the lion and sent his son blasting off.

Not even a second later, Fable came crashing down, wielding an axe the size of a rowboat. The hero dropped from the sky and swung it at his father, attempting to decapitate the man, but hundreds of invisible arms stopped his attack from reaching. His weapon cracked and groaned, and then it shattered, falling apart. The broken weapon shifted and, this time, transformed into a shield with a twisted, ugly face on it. A gray light blasted out of it, and dozens of the unseen Legends became visible as stone started to rapidly grow across their forms. The real Legend didn't even react to the stone and instead lazily flicked up, shattering one of his clones and hitting them so hard the stone was launched out with so much force it stabbed through Fable, turning his previous stab wound into a geyser of blood. Fable dropped out of the sky and rammed into the ground back first.

Money Tree tore himself out of a wave of destroyed buildings and recreated his black sword. He didn't even have time to swing it, though, before a sharp punch rammed into the side of his face. His neck nearly snapped, and he stumbled, dozens of broken teeth falling out of his jaws. Despite that, though, he swung his sword out and created a massive block of digital cash that dropped down onto Legend. Legend's unseen clones all caught it, however, and they chucked it back in Money Tree's direction. The man closed his eyes, expecting to get crushed by his own powers, but a wave of rockets blasted out from Metal Ronin, who had also gotten back up. The rockets blew the block apart and sent debris crashing down. Money Tree was just about to cheer the kid on, but then Metal Ronin was slammed down as more clones began to beat and rip the suit off of the boy. Money Tree tried to run toward him, but a kick landed on his leg, snapping it and causing him to let out a cry of pain.

Legend lazily flew toward the left as blue fire blasted toward him, and Phoenix launched himself at the other man. Legend sliced up with his hand, splitting Phoenix in two, but the boy instantly healed and put himself back together. Raising an eyebrow, Legend decided to simply use the same method he had to take Intake out. He created a ball of gray energy and was about to launch it toward Phoenix, but before his attack could land, Cinder came flying in and kicked his arm, causing his blast to go flying into the air. The girl shot the other flame-based hero a look, and the boy nodded. In an instant, red and blue fire swirled together, and the two struck out, punching Legend directly in his clock. His clones tried to stop the blow, but the fire was too intense for them. Legend actually groaned and felt himself get blasted back. Legend rammed down into the ground, shaking the street once more.

Then suddenly, in an instant, the street was gone. As was most of the city. An ocean of flowers and trees bloomed out. Paragon kept her eyes closed and focused her power. Trees sprouted out around everyone, and their wounds began to mend and heal. Even Lady Time, who was on the other side of the city and by some miracle hadn't died. She wasn't able to heal everyone, but it was enough, and most of the damage they had taken faded.

Legend stood back up now in the field of flowers and found himself surrounded by the other heroes. Before he could even attempt to take another step, the ground rumbled, and a golden light blasted out as the Victorian rose up, a smirk on her face. "So, this really isn't going the way you thought it would, is it, big guy?" The woman flew toward the Ruler and smacked him upside the head with her greatsword.

Legend flinched and actually let out a growl. "Enough!" He flexed and blasted his arms out. "I am number one! I will not lose!"

Lois felt her eyes go wide as she watched all the Legend clones shimmer and change. They weren't the golden ones anymore. Now, they looked just like the current one did. She was barely able to process this before an elbow rammed into the top of her head, causing her eyes to roll back. Fable aimed his bow, but before he could fire an arrow, two fists rammed into either side of his skull, nearly crushing it and almost popping an eyeball out. Myth felt a pair of fingers pry his jaw open, and he was lifted off the ground by his teeth and rammed headfirst into a tree. Metal Ronin felt a lazy smack to his back, which blew the last of his armor apart and sent him flying. Money Tree was shoved down and began to get viciously kicked and beaten down. Cinder felt herself get flung, and she was swung around like some sort of club, forced to ram into Phoenix over and over again as the two were smashed together. Lastly, that left Paragon, who got the worst of it, being grabbed by the throat and smashed down, all her limbs getting twisted and pulled on, as dozens of Legends tried to rip her apart and stop her from healing anyone else.

The Victorian felt dozens of fists smash into her, but she fought through the pain and summoned up a thin golden barrier, forcing it around Paragon, as well as the others, in order to stop the beatdown they were getting. While she did that, though, the real Legend blasted forward and rammed his foot into her stomach. She crashed to the ground and was just about to stand back up but stopped and stared with wide eyes as Legend raised his hand to the sky.

Due to Paragon being down, the field of flowers vanished, leaving them back in the fake city, but that wouldn't last for very long as Legend charged up a powerful attack. A golden orb of energy appeared in the center of his hand, and it rapidly grew, getting bigger and bigger, until it dwarfed the entire city. He was planning on simply blowing everything up and being done with it.

"I win." Legend declared. "I am number one!" The villain tore his arm down and launched the massive wave of energy out.

The Victorian cursed. She wasn't able to go into her Galaxy Dress, which required way too long to charge up, and even if she did block the attack or get the others out, the rest of the city was basically doomed. Not just the city but the entire realm would likely crumble or be vaporized by the force of the attack. Legend wasn't holding back and seemingly had no qualms about catching himself in his own blast. Gritting her teeth, the woman pulled her sword back and was about to swing it up, but before she could, a wave of heat and lightning blasted toward the attack.

By some miracle, Cinder and Lightning Empress managed to stand back up and combine their elements together. Fire and lightning swirled and formed a beam, slamming into the orb that was coming down. Cinder gritted her teeth, her golden hair and eyes blazing out alongside Lightning Empress's own Lord form, and their energy pushed the attack back, sending it toward Legend. It would have hit him, but he teleported out of the way of the attack at the last second. The orb went all the way up, going well beyond the sky, and exploded; the shock wave that followed destroyed the tops of all the buildings, raining a sea of debris across the city.

"Good luck." Lightning Empress collapsed forward once more, letting out a gasp. "I think that's everything I had in my tank."

Cinder felt her fire calm down, and she wiped at her nose to get rid of some of the blood. "That form you used in the fight with the Beast. Go into it again."

The Victorian looked like she was about to argue but then nodded. "Good luck." The woman finally said. The number one hero dropped her sword and flew up, closing her eyes. "Just give me a few moments, and I'll take him down in one punch."

"Thanks. I'm going to need it!" Cinder forced a smile and charged forward. Legend had already appeared back on the street and stood directly in front of her. He turned to lazily look back at her and didn't even bother to move as she sent a wave of fire his way. The outline of his unseen clones appeared. They formed a literal wall around Legend and blocked her strike. Then the next thing she knew, a fist was ramming into the back of her head again. "Damn it!" She cursed as she was slammed into the ground and kicked away by one of the invisible Legends. She raised her arms up, going on the defensive, but it wasn't much use. She blocked a few of the strikes, but she couldn't see where the attack was coming from, and the clones simply went around her guard and began to hit her back and forth.

"Lucky!" A massive wave of dust was kicked up, and Cinder felt something wrap around her. Her eyes widened when she saw it was a long, serpentine-looking wooden dragon, the tail of which was connected to Paragon's sword. The healer was banged up beyond belief and struggled to stay on her knees, holding her weapon out, but had managed to still save Cinder.

Legend grunted. "You're as annoying as your father." A ball of energy formed in his hand, and he blasted it out toward Paragon, but before it could land, Fable came crashing in with his shield, turning the attack to stone. It rammed into him at high speeds and was enough to send him flying back, but it managed to save him and Paragon. "You're all just cockroaches." Legend roared. "How dare you all stand back up! I am number one!"

"We heard you the first time, Dad." Myth came charging in his bull form and rammed his fist into the ground, firing out a wave of dust that cloaked over the unseen Legends. It lasted just long enough for him to dodge and weave out of the way of several of their attacks. He reached his father and jumped forward, twisting and morphing into his three-headed hound form, unleashing a wave of fire. The black flames gushed out toward Legend, who raised his arms to block it, but at the last second, the fire pulled back and swirled above him. "Cinder! Take it!" He managed to yell before Legend slammed his fist into his son's stomach, nearly splitting the man open.

From the wooden dragon, she ran across it and raised her arm out toward the fire. It pulled its way toward and covered her fist in a layer of it. As she came down, she closed her eyes, feeling the fire mingle with her. Myth had just shown her something, something important. Her feet touched down, and she twisted to the side, dodging an invisible punch. It flew past her, and she casually slapped the hand that had the black fire through the air, cutting the Legend in two. It wasn't the only one she did it to, either. Again and again, she twisted and moved her body out of the danger, dodging all strikes that came at her.

The Legends might have been unseen, but they still existed. That was how they could attack and block attacks. Myth's dust had covered them, meaning they had a physical form, and no matter how silent they truly were, they couldn't fully hide from her senses. Sure, they might not make any noise, but the tiniest spark of an atom being shifted exploded in her ear, and that was all she needed to dodge the strikes.

Cinder blasted through the clones, the black fire forming into a gauntlet, and with a yell, she struck out toward the real Legend. He looked unimpressed and simply teleported again. He appeared behind Cinder and rammed his fist into the back of her skull hard enough to crack it. Cinder gasped and dropped to her knees but then stopped and let out a small giggle.

Legend's eyes narrowed and then widened when he saw that her gauntlet was gone. Then he felt something wrap around his wrist. He glanced down just in time to see a small backpack forged from black fire had wrapped itself around his wrist. It had arms and legs and gave a salute as it began to glow.

"Myth-Cinder-Combo! Black Flame Baggy!" Cinder declared right as the fire erupted and exploded. "Don't underestimate Team Pantheon!" The explosion unleashed a wave of fire in all directions, and Cinder used some of it to rocket her arm forward and smash a fist directly into Legend's face as hard as she could.

Legend was sent sliding back, the ground breaking beneath him, and as the fire cleared, he glanced down at his hand, which was now missing. Part of his face was cracked as well, but he looked more annoyed than pained. "Pathetic."

Cinder gave a sheepish grin. "Yeah, I guess it was kind of cheesy to say that, knowing I wasn't going to be able to land the final blow. Still, rule of cool and all that! Besides, it did its job." Cinder's hair shifted, going back to black, and her eyes stopped glowing. "You're finished."

Legend turned around just in time to see a flash of black as the Victorian appeared directly in front of him, now looking like a galaxy come to life. He tried to teleport, but the woman was well beyond the speed of that and simply rammed her fist directly through his stomach.

Legend finally showed a sign of pain, spitting up a wave of black-looking blood as the Victorian's arm impaled him. "Like I said," the woman smirked. "One attack."
