On the first day entering the Desert, the morning was bearable, but by noon, the sun scorched fiercely, the air was heavy and almost stagnant. Dong Huiying was drenched in sweat, yet she didn't take off the cloak or the scarf wrapped around her.
She turned back to look at Liang Haoming, who rode on another camel. It seemed the heat was too much for him; he tugged at the scarf covering his face. Next to him, Hong Xiangjun had already removed her cloak and kept wiping the sweat from her face with it.
"This sun is too intense, be careful of getting sunburned," Dong Huiying reminded them, then saw Hong Xiangjun grab a water bag and guzzle from it, "Why do I feel like the water in this bag is lessening? I clearly didn't drink much."
"Perhaps it's the hot weather; the water might be evaporating."
Hong Xiangjun lay on the camel, "Oh god, let me die, this blazing heat is just like a frying pan."
