Around her neck hung an oval, double-lobed pendant, one side Imperial Green—a green so rich it seemed to drip with oil, deep and profound—while the other side was royal purple, vivid and brilliantly saturated. Both lobes were of Glass-type jadeite, not outrageously large—about the size of a thumbnail—but the color was extremely even with almost no impurities. The luster was enough to bring forth a chill light, highly translucent, set with white gold and a cluster of diamonds, linked at both ends, the most dazzling stroke of excellence beneath the lights of the watch counter, noble and stately, quite in the manner of a sovereign.
