Her skin glowed as she smiled, her bright teeth and soft lips visible, blinking slowly while looking at me.
Behind her stood our green family farm, my childhood playground.
She bent down, waving me over with a welcoming gesture.
Everything felt safe and inviting.
As I approached, she touched my cheek with her soft hands while I gazed into her pretty blue eyes.
With a bright smile, she gently covered my sight.
For that moment, I didn't feel my feet nor her touch; I was happily floating.
Suddenly, she uncovered my eyes, playfully hiding one hand behind her back. I had to guess what she was holding.
I stood there silently, but still, she presented my gift:
A new tablet with all the games I ever wanted! I could touch them, play with them!
Tall and gentle, the lady lifted me onto her lap as I explored each game with excitement. She gently stroked my hair as I looked up at her, unable to decide which was better—the tablet or her.
A distant voice, growing closer, began to capture my attention. Initially, I didn't pay much heed to it, but the lady's nervousness drew my focus. I looked away from the tablet and saw the sky turning red as the voice grew louder.
Suddenly, I realized—it was the call to prayer.
The sound intensified as everything turned reddish. I turned around to see our family farm on fire.
The lady gripped my hand tightly. I looked up in confusion and saw she was gone...
Instead, the ugliest face I had ever seen was there. Her beauty was fading as if something was draining her life away.
I pulled free from her grip, and we both fell. Despite my efforts, she clung to my arm.
Her body caught fire until she was engulfed, And With her last strength, she jumped and hugged me tightly, until we both burned.
I let out a strident scream of despair, then woke up in my bed to the morning prayer call echoing outside.
