Aladdin rushed down the path. The flickering of the ring's light intensified, and so did his worry.
Shula needed him.
And he had no second to spare.
Especially not for the very figure waiting for him within the darkness of the next chamber.
He had already expected to find someone waiting for him when he saw the faint light at the end of the tunnel. He frankly hoped it would be where Shula was, but it was not the case.
The person was alone.
Right before the other tunnel across the cavity, stood someone in their long black robes and wooden mask.
The person held out their staff as if ready to defend the exit with their life. Aladdin pursed his lips as his hand landed on the golden hilt of his sword. He had no time to waste there. He did not need to fight them, only opening a way past them.
" For the sake of our future, I shall not let you through." By their voice, they sounded like a woman, a young one at that, and Aladdin clicked his tongue in frustration.
