Not giving her an opportunity for an outburst over his playful remark, he turned to Janice and said, "It's getting late. Let's talk business. I have to get home before curfew."
"Can't it wait? I have so many things to explore and experiment," Janice said, planning to test the limits and applications of her enhanced curse senses. Right now, she was recording her thoughts so as not to forget any of her brilliant ideas. She could get up, explore one idea, and forget the others, so it was important for her to record all of her ideas. That way, when she was done with one, she wouldn't have to struggle or waste time trying to recall the others.
