That night, Audrey quietly left Lake's room and went downstairs with her mother.
She sat on the floor while her mother sat on the sofa. Her phone was in her lap, but she just stared at it, not knowing who to call first. Would they even answer her call? Given that she'd blocked them for five years now.
She felt Isabella's hand on her shoulder and sighed.
"Don't worry, just give them a call, I'm sure they'll be happy to pick up," Isabella encouraged.
Audrey bit her lips and slowly nodded, "Alright."
She picked up her phone and dialed Miranda's number.
She thought she would have to calm down about two times before the call got answered but she was surprised when the call got answered on the third ring.
"Hello?" Miranda's voice spoke from the phone.
Audrey smiled, a tear slipping down her cheek, hearing Miranda's voice again made her feel very emotional as the memories she had with her came rushing back into her head.
