Audrey was standing in the middle of her old room, her tears really trying to betray and Lake was right behind her. It would be very weird for her to suddenly burst into tears out of nowhere.
It was exactly like she left it. It was as if no one ever came into it, except that it looked very neat like it was cleaned every day.
"This would be your room, Audrey. The room next to it will be for Mikhail; if there is anything you want to change in any of the rooms, feel free to let me know, and I'll do it immediately," Lake spoke behind her.
Audrey nodded, "I think the room is already perfect, however," She turned and faced him.
"I thought I'd be staying in some hotel or I don't know, somewhere that isn't your home," Audrey couldn't help teasing him to see how he would reply.
Lake scratched the back of his head, "Well, I just think since we're business partners, it would be easier to communicate if we stayed close to each other," He reasoned.
