Whistle…
The coach blew the whistle, indicating the end of the second half, which somehow ended 4-2.
We sat on the floor, panting like hell as sweat rolled down our faces. I looked up and saw Teijiro's hand stretched out to me.
"Ah…" thanks, man." I said, grabbing his hands as he helped me up.
"Nice game there." He said.
*As if.*
"The game's over. You guys… well… did okay, I guess." He said.
After their first goal, Kenji scored two goals, and Yui scored one immediately after getting on the field.
Their teamwork was really crazy and their passes were incredible. It was really hard for us to get the ball from them whenever they got it.
I found out many things from the way they played, their speed, footwork, teamwork, agility, defence, offence, dribbles, tackles, distractions, direct shots, and all. They were really a tough team.
*Looks like they were going easy on us during the first practice. And they taught us very little of what they knew. Well, I mean, I wouldn't teach my enemies all my moves, too.
The guys on the team also became better after their training, so there was nothing to complain about.
After that, I began reminiscing. Things weren't that way initially. Everyone wanted to do different things from what the coach wanted them to do, and that caused… well, different kind of problems.
I thought, if we could be as good as them… maybe things would have been much easier. I mean… they're really good, so of course they've got things easy, right?
"You guys did well. But it looks like you aren't good enough yet. More training tomorrow morning." He said, walking out.
*More training? That seems really good. Well, nothing too good since I'm aching all over.* I thought, smiling as he looked at me.
"Again?!"
"Dammit, can't we rest for a few days?"
"No."
"Ugh…"
"My legs ache!"
"I'm gonna die!"
I walked towards the bench and picked up my phone to see if anything had changed since the last time.
*God, I hope Something's changed.* I thought, unlocking my phone and going to the app.
"It went up!" I shouted immediately, staring at my phone.
"What went up?"
"What's going on?"
"What?!" The coach asked in shock.
"Ah sorry, it's nothing. I'll be back in a few minutes." I said, running off.
"Hey! You just wanted to escape!"
*It really went up!* I thought, still looking at the screen.
I sat on my bed before turning on my phone once more.
"Offence 97 now?! That's sick! Okay… defence went up a bit, 77 now. Body balance 92, Stamina 91, top speed 99…" I kept reading them out till the end.
*Hm… looks like my top speed is the highest for now.* I thought, lying on bed and smiling.
I never thought they'd increase anymore. I thought they'd stay the way they were, and so I gave up after a few days.
"Yes!" I shouted.

Later that evening, we all decided to watch some movies late at night when the coaches were already asleep.
"Come on, we've already talked about this. We're NOT watching a horror movie." Akaji said.
"Come on, man. It's really good." Kimishita said, shoving a picture of the movie in Akaji's face.
"Hey, the others might sleep off while we're watching the ones we picked. Maybe we'll watch it when they're asleep." I said, smiling at him.
"O…kay…? Hey, you sound weird." Kimishita said, looking at me weirdly.
"Hm…? Do I?" I asked, smiling brightly before sitting beside Hiroto.
"Hey man." He said, looking up at me.
"Hey man." I said, smiling while passing a bowl of popcorn to him.
"Th…thanks?"
"Come on. You both enjoy." I said, smiling at Akane too.
"Y-yeah…" She said, looking down.
"Something's up with him."
"Yeah."
"Why's he making that expression?"
"That's creepy."
"Is he always that way?"
"No."
*Haha, I'm so glad.* I thought, turning on the television.
"Let Yui sit in between your laps." Yui said, walking towards me.
"Hm? Why not?" I asked, smiling at her as she sat down.
"Something's definitely wrong."
"But don't they always act that way with each other?"
"Well yeah… but… he's always embarrassed."
*I'm almost done maxing out my stats. But then they've brought more figures? Well, it might not be easy to max out, but I'm more pumped up. I'm gonna do my best.* I thought as the movie started.
◇◇◇
"Guys, I'm putting the next one in." I said, turning back.
*Hm? They're all asleep?* I thought, looking at Yui, who slept before me.
"Come on, come on! I can dribble past 10 of them!" Akatsuki shouted.
"What? He's sleep talking?" I asked, looking back immediately.
"Yawn… maybe I'll just join em. I'm feeling tired anyway." I said, looking at Akane, who rested on Hiroto's lap.
*Well, that's that. The end of 'that' chapter.* I thought, smiling before resting my back on Akatsuki's leg.
"Sushi-kun…" Yui called.
"Hey! Don't touch that!"
◇◇◇
"Yawn… Gee, when did I fall asleep?"
"It's morning already?"
"Aargh! I wasn't able to watch the horror movie!"
"Guys, it's almost time for training. Coach would come in soon." I said, cutting some vegetables in the kitchen.
"Ah, what a wife." Akira said.
"Hey!" I shouted.
"I mean, you're already up preparing breakfast." He said as I sighed.
I looked at Yui and frowned immediately. She smiled at me before standing from the floor.
"I'll help out." She said, walking towards me.
"More like you want to eat before the others?" I asked, moving the vegetables aside.
"No, I really want to help."
"Is that so… well, I baked some cookies for you. Maybe you'll eat them after…"
"Cookies?! Where are they?" She asked immediately.
"Oh… there." I pointed at the counter as she rushed towards it immediately.
"Thanks for the treat." She said, grabbing them and walking out.
"Really?!"
*Ha… I just knew she didn't want to help.* I sighed before smiling again.
*She's just like a little child. Makes me feel like an older brother.* I thought, taking off the lid of the pot.
