After dinner, as the sky darkened, Ling Hua lingered in Yan Qing's courtyard, unwilling to leave. She drank one cup of tea, then another, almost bursting her belly, yet she had no intention of getting up to leave.
Yan Qing actually didn't want her to go either, so he didn't urge her to leave but stopped her from continuing to drink, "Stop drinking, do you not plan to sleep tonight after so much tea?"
Ling Hua made a pitiful face, "Without brother by my side at night, I don't know if I'll be able to sleep."
Yan Qing took the teacup from her hand, "Aren't you a grown-up? Do you still need someone to accompany you?"
Ling Hua pouted, "Even though we're husband and wife, we have to live in separate courtyards. I may not be a child, but I'm your wife."
The subtext was, do you really understand what being husband and wife means?
