Luna's POV
Last night, I actually slept a little better. It felt like an eternity since I had experienced a restful night. Finally, I managed to ask for help. Though I had wanted to speak with Dominick specifically, I was glad I got to speak to my sister. But why did Sol pick Dominick's call? Did it mean they were back together or something? The thought unsettled me.
As I sat contemplating this, the door creaked open, and Joel stepped inside. His expression was usually bright, but today, a hint of unease shadowed his features.
"The boss asked me to bring you to him," Joel said.
"To where?" I asked, skepticism lacing my words.
"Don't worry, it's nothing to be scared of." Joel opened the door wider and motioned for me to follow.
I drew in a deep breath before stepping out of the room, feeling the weight of the unknown settle on my shoulders. Joel led the way through the corridors, the silence between us punctuated by the soft echo of our footsteps.
