A dim yellow orb of light swayed closer with the sound of footsteps. Two patrolling officers walked along the empty street, ignoring the drunks sprawled by the roadside.
As long as there isn't any violent assault, it doesn't matter. Drunks appear every day, and there's no possible way to manage all of them.
Preventing these people from drinking would be even worse than letting them get drunk!
After the patrol moved on, the street returned to silence, until midnight descended...

Midnight's pendulum swung, and muffled echoes of clock chimes cut across the sky. One by one, the gas lamps along the streets flickered out, darkness thick as heavy fog sweeping over everything.
And it was at this precise moment...
The darkness rippled, as if something had pierced through it, effortlessly evading both the patrolling officers and the Aurora Society's Night Watchers, heading toward Red Square.
