Austin sneered upon hearing this, sarcastically saying, "Deputy Minister Allen, I have no idea where you heard that rumor, but I can assure you with great certainty that I am not the Dark Knight."
"Indeed, you're not the Dark Knight; you've merely stolen the Dark Knight's power,"
Allen made a startling revelation, honestly disclosing his identity and the source of his intelligence: "Because I am the Dark Knight. I met the Envoy of the Dark Goddess, who told me everything. Hand over the Twilight Deadlock, and I can pretend none of this ever happened."
Austin's expression subtly shifted: "What Envoy of the Goddess? Have you been deceived?"
Speaking of the Envoy of the Dark Goddess, Austin did indeed know of one--the black cat Monica, mysterious in origin, impossible to kill, perfectly fitting his stereotypical image of a goddess's envoy.
