Facing the straight cliff face they walked along it until the cliff face became more bearable to climb. Climbing up would have been easy for Thrain with his new found strength except, He only had one functioning arm. So it was a little more challenging, thankfully Thorin had gone through his own training and could help Thrain up the mountain.
Reaching the top, they looked out over the vast landscape again. This time the could see the door that they had used to descend to this floor. As well as the last two zones. One of magma, one of ice. Thorin's hand obscured Thrain's face as he pointed to the magma zone. "I think this one will be more fiery to explore". In return Thrain did the same back to his brother pointed at the ice zone "But that one will be much cooler." They both burst out laughing, sitting down to enjoy the view for the second time.
We've been down here for so long now, it feels almost natural to be here. I do wonder how mother and father are doing. Thrain thought to himself. Before deciding where to head next the brothers decided to camp to give Thrains arm a chance to heal before moving forward.
Through the next couple of days Thrain didn't just idle. If I can't train in swords or my right arm, I'll train in other areas. And he did just that, training his legs to the point where he could now dash with only a quarter of his strength. He also trained in shield combat? Thrain wasn't sure if there were such people, who could wield a shield in combat? Nevertheless he thought he would give it a go just in case.
On around the fourth day Thrain noticed a change in his arm. It was like he nerves and flesh under his skin was dancing around and by the fifth day everything had settled in its right place. He picked up his swords, swinging it a few times through the air making a crisp whoosh sound. Just right.
Now that they were ready to continue, the argument began again. This time Thrain just gave into to Thorin. Heading along the mountains towards the magma zone. Thrain observed that there wasn't much life like the last zone. The landscape was just too hostile, sharp obsidian spikes protruded out of the earth, while the river of lava bubbled to its side.
Descending down the mountain was by far the easiest part of the journey. One foot touched the ground. Weirdly enough they didn't suddenly burst in to flames, which was one of Thrains assumptions. Instead it was warm and cosy. They would for sure be having a good sleep, Thorin brought up.
Heading in deeper there still wasn't much fauna or flora. At this point they were probably half way through the magma zone. "Don't tell me I chose the wrong one, I wanted adventure not boredom." Thorin whined "Should have listen to me" Thrain retorted as a deep breathe could be heard in the distance.
Quickly the boys hid behind the nearest cover. Multiple Thumps could be heard as they went from one side to the other. Thrain quietly popped his head out from the side of the rock. A towering figure could be seen. Its figure dwarfed them, at least triple their size! Its body was round, grey in colour with short hair and a curly tail. almost like a pig.
It turned around. It was no pig.
Two huge tusks protruded out of the sides of its mouth. Just as big as the tusk was a huge pink nose. In comparison its eyes were like peanuts. Surprisingly the boar didn't imminently run at them, instead it raised its noise into the air and deeply inhaled. Shit. Thrain quickly grabbed some dirt of the ground and covered themselves. They waited a couple of seconds and luckily the boar couldn't catch their scent and left quickly after.
Sitting down covered in dirt. "Now that's the kind of adventure I was looking for!" Thorin said Thrain followed up with a sigh "I guess we are going hunting?" Thorin nodded enthusiastically. They followed the trail left behind by the boar. Once they reached its home, they drew their equipment in preparation.
POV Thrain
As Thorin stood there getting ready to be bait. I walked off to the side. I hope we can finish it off quickly. I reached one of the obsidian spikes that protruded above the area just outside the cave the Boar was staying in.
A couple of seconds go by, I can hear him, my brother as he shouts with all of his lung. I could feel the spike shake slightly at what I presume is the boar moving. I cautiously walking up the spike, while rubbing more dirt on myself. The closer I got the more I heard the sounds of ongoing battle.
I let my strength flow through my body reaching my feet and hands. Holding my blade facing down I dropped.
POV Thorin
The Boar came charging towards me, I stop yelling and quickly move to the side. I rest my sword pointing down on my right. I leap towards the Boar, my sword moving upwards above my head. Then as I start descending, I swing it down letting gravity assist.
It raised its nose and took in a deep breath. Suddenly it locks straight on to me. All the dirt and mud must of fallen off! It ran over to me, turning around just before it reached me.
What's it doing? Its turning around? No my strike will only land on its ass.
The boar raised its hind legs with precision as it kicked. Hitting my sword in just the right way to knock it out of my hands. I look over my sword now a couple of meters away from me. This cursed pig! I dash to grab it as I see Thrain leaping off the obsidian spike overhead. Landing on the boar I see his blade almost enter the Boar's neck, however the Boar gets into a stance. It's whole body tensed up muscles bulging as Thrains sword bounces off it.
I wonder?

Thrain was unsure what had just happened as he landed back on the ground with a thud, looking down at his sword it appeared to be normal. The Boar feeling his vibrations charged at him, Thrain dashed out of its range as he hid behind a rock gathering more dirt. In his peripheral vision he could see Thorin getting up with his great sword screaming at the Boar again.
The Boar turned its head raising its snout once again, It smelled something familiar. This was the human who woke him up. His body wound back before launching forward and charging at Thorin again.
Thorin didn't move. "THORIN WHAT ARE YOU DOING!" Thrain tried to sprint over as fast as he could but wouldn't make it.
Pushing Thrains cries to the back of his mind, Thorin focused. Focused more than he had ever done before. He raised his sword, spun it one hundred and eighty degrees and planted it into the ground.
The boar closed in, nonetheless he retained his focus. He was full control of his body in this moment. five seconds before the boar's tusks were going to impale him. He tensed everything, becoming akin to a living statue.
