Gu Ran picked up a stick, poked at the bonfire, and as the wind blew in, the flames revived, licking the newly added logs like a dog.
The food skewered at the edge of the fire pit sizzled and dripped with oil. Some were quiet, some turned black, and some were already charred.
"Is it ready to eat?" Gege, still holding a sparkler, ran over and crouched by the fire pit.
"Let me check." Gu Ran looked around, "The lamb kebabs and saury are ready."
"You eat first." Gege's sparkling eyes gazed at him.
"You're younger, have more energy, and recover faster, so why not eat first? Here." Gu Ran handed her a lamb kebab.
Gege, incredulous: "How could a man like you deserve an angel like Qing as a girlfriend? Bullying men and dominating women, no wonder people say appearance reflects the heart!"
She angrily took a bite of the lamb.
"Hmm?!" Her eyes widened slightly, "It's so tender!"
"We've already eaten, no need for your critique!" Gu Ran laughed.
