"You're not lying to me?" Xie Xiya asked.
Gu Ran lowered his head and brushed a kiss across Xie Xiya's red lips.
Xie Xiya's breath tightened, and her heart thudded.
"This is my thought," Gu Ran said, "wait until you get into university, and if your feelings haven't changed after graduation, we'll be together."
"Why so long?" Xie Xiya protested, looking him in the eye.
"I think it's a long time too, but you're still in high school now, just recovered from your illness not long ago. I think it's best to give it time, let you observe your feelings from a greater distance, and see if it's really like that," Gu Ran explained.
"You're only two or three years older than me."
If it were normal subjects, Gu Ran would be a junior in college this year and wasn't much more mature compared to high school senior Xie Xiya.
"It's not about age, it's about status," Gu Ran said.
"Are you not afraid I'd change my heart in all this time?" Xie Xiya asked.
