Just by looking at the artistic talent Manman inherited, as opposed to what Madam Lu did not, one could get a glimpse of the difference. However, the one she was most looking forward to wasn't Madam Lu or Manman, but the person who had already been designated by old Mr. Lu as the "Princess." In her opinion, only the Princess's big temper was truly hereditary from her.
...
The news of Manman's new work being auctioned off for a hundred million spread like wildfire.
The Lu family members initially had no idea and persistently inquired during dinner whether Manman had brought her own painting back home. It was mainly because Manman had been too hasty to deliver the painting, resulting in quite a few family members not having the chance to see the final appearance of the "Hundred Children Painting."
Irritated by the questioning, Manman spat out, "The painting is no longer with me."
So it really was sold. Everyone sighed and lamented.
