Wu Haoyu's POV
After having breakfast at Grampa Huang's villa, Wu Ling, my grandfather and I left to return to our own Wu family villa. On the ride there, Grandpa kept stealing glances at me. I could tell he wanted to say something, but because Wu Ling was with us, he refrained and I pretended not to notice his veiled looks.
As we got inside the Wu villa, the rows of staff came to greet us. It felt good to be home after being in Wuhan for a month. Once we were seated, Wu Ling rushed off to her room. Grandpa then looked at me and said "Sit down boy, we need to talk." I sighed, knowing exactly where this conversation was going.
"I can tell my old friend's granddaughter has really captured your heart," Grandpa stated bluntly.
I stammered, knowing he had caught on. "I..."
But Grandpa raised his hand to stop me. "No need to lie to me. I was a young boy once, and the look you give her is the same one I used to give your grandmother back in the day...God bless her soul."
