Yang Wei's POV:
The boat shuddered beneath us, water sloshing over the deck as Haoyu fought to keep us steady, the hull breached from ramming Li Mei's ship. My leg burned where the bullet had grazed it, blood seeping through the soaked fabric, but the pain was nothing compared to the ice in my veins. Lao Zhang's voice still echoed in my head—"Wuhan's hit. Compound's breached. They've got your files—Island B's codes, defenses." My kingdom, my legacy, everything I'd walked away from but still carried in my bones, now lay bare in Li Mei's hands. And I'd let it happen.
"Yang Wei!" Yanyan's shout snapped me out of the spiral, her voice fierce as she gripped the railing, her face streaked with salt and determination. "What do we do? They've got everything!"
