"FIGHT!"

"YOU'RE DEAD, PRETTY BOY!"

Bakugo's threat was followed by a massive explosion that drowned out all other noise, complete with a flash of blinding light and a wave of oppressive heat that washed over me. However, all I could focus on was the blonde streak that flew across the arena, leg extended in a vicious side kick. I didn't doubt Bakugo for a second when she claimed she wanted me dead, 'No tactics or scheming, just pure offense.'

In the blink of an eye Bakugo was in front of me, an almost sadistic grin on her face no doubt already picturing how my torso would fold around her foot as she shattered my ribs, "Always a damn handful aren't ya Firecracker?"

Before Bakugo could respond, I raised my hands so fast that they appeared to blur to the naked eye, leaving only purple sparks in their wake. In the next instant, my body surged with power in the form of pure electricity, causing my nervous system to glow so brightly that it was visible beneath my skin and muscles.

The current flowing through my body was so strong that it began to ionize the air around me, causing it to spark and shimmer with a faint purple hue outlining a halo. I felt my awareness expand as every atom within the halo became an extension of my nervous system, each carrying a charge and an electronic signal. The stream of information was almost overwhelming even for my overclocked mind, but I managed.

It was an out-of-body experience as my will imposed itself over the space my halo encompassed, precisely a meter in every direction. At my current strength, that was the area I could cover without burning my synapses to a crisp, but a meter was more than enough for my current needs.

'Impossible Technqiue: Domain of The Fulgur Autarch'

The entire transformation occurred within a percentage of a second, leaving no time for Bakugo to react as I created a bead of condensed electricity in the air in front of me, melting the molecules inside into a plasma.

I could feel the energy inside begging to be released from the intense pressure keeping it contained and static. But within my domain, my will was absolute. Nothing occurred without my approval. Fortunately for the plasma, I was in need of its destructive potential.

There was a bright flash, and it appeared as if a miniature sun appeared in the air in front of me for a moment. Then the sun exploded with a clap of thunder, releasing a pillar of fire and lightning in Bakugo's direction.

I lost sight of the world around me; I could only see a sea of blinding white plasma and blistering purple lightning. But despite its seemingly impressive display, the plasma-based explosion expended its energy instantly and quickly dissipated.

However, its impact on the physical world would be easily forgotten. Where the plasma had passed, the reinforced concrete had turned into boiling magma, and the far retaining wall sported a similar blister.

Though I wasn't allowed a moment to appreciate my new destructive power as I felt the air above me condense before rapidly expanding with a wave of heat and force.

Thrusting my hand up, I generated my own blast of electrically charged plasma, nullifying Bakugo's counterattack before it could reach me.

Before the smoke could even clear, Bakugo's fist rocketed through the air as she punched down at me, no doubt furious. In response, thick bolts of lightning unfurled from my back, almost looking like hands, as they grabbed the ground and pulled me back.

Bakugo's fist tore through the air, barely missing my face. I watched as she burst through the cloud of smoke from our collided explosions, her entire body scorched and sparking with static from my opening attack. However, Bakugo was largely unscathed and didn't seem one bit injured.

"KENJI!!" Bakugo roared, her disheveled appearance only adding to the deranged look in her eyes and the open snarl as she glared at me.

My only response was to smirk as I thrust out my hand summoning more tendrils of lightning that arched through the air towards Bakugo. I clenched my hand into a fist, and the tendrils latched onto bakugo, seizing her limbs and body.

A second later, Bakugo was sent flying through the air, nearly flying out of the arena before she managed to correct her flight with a series of explosions from her hands.

I readied myself for another blistering barrage, only to frown as Bakugo froze her body, trembling with her head hung low, hiding her face, "Is this some kind of joke to you?"

Bakugo raised her head, revealing her face had been set into a cold unfeeling mask, "Do you think that just because you managed to replicate my quirk, you have a shot at beating me?"

I frowned as I felt the space around Bakugo shift, a feeling that extended beyond my physical senses or even those within my domain. The sensation was painfully familiar, and for a moment, I couldn't place it before the image of a black swirling portal burst into my mind.

The space around Bakugo was thinning, the boundary that separated physical reality from the more obscure aspects of the universe. But Bakugo wasn't stepping through the hole. She was pulling something in.

I felt my entire being react as I watched the intangible but very real energy flow into Bakugo. It was amorphous and imperceptible even to Bakugo, who, by some miracle, had managed to reach through the planes of reality to channel the strange energy.

But my very core recognized the energy for what it was, the same way I would realize a color. An inexplicable but undeniable existence that could not be anything else nor explained to anyone else.

'Explosion.'

The word reverberated in my mind; that was what Bakugo was channeling, the core concept of the natural phenomenon. If the universe itself possessed a language, it was practically screaming at Bakugo, surrounding her with the infinite complexity of what explosion represented.

But it wasn't Bakugo that reacted to its presence but something inside of her that carried the faintest trace of the universal concept practically smothering her.

'Her quirk, I'm seeing her quirk...is that what they are...diluted universal laws?'

My mind was in turmoil, and the weight of my realization nearly drove me to my knees. I was certain I had gotten a glimpse of something no mortal being was supposed to comprehend. But yet I could understand it; my quirk allowed me to do so, 'As if it was by design.'

Without warning, the space around Bakugo snapped back into place, and the connection to the universal truth was severed. But the effect of that momentary connection couldn't be ignored.

"I already told you you're dead...SO STOP FIGHTING AND ACCEPT IT!" Bakugo roared as she slammed both of her fists against the arena floor. There was an explosion; however, instead of expanding through the air, Bakugo somehow managed to direct the energy into the ground.

I watched as a rolling wave of explosions ripped across the arena, traveling through the concrete in a way that defied logic and physics. It was as if someone had riddled the arena with mines before the fight, but I knew that Bakugo was the sole party responsible.

The tendril of lightning from my back reached up, grabbing a hold of the air itself and throwing me up and over the explosive wave.

The moment I left the ground, however, Bakugo followed, launching herself through the air and flying directly at me. Aiming, I fired another beam of plasma at Bakugo that vaporized the air in its passing.

Despite the beam's blistering speed, Bakugo's aerial mobility was unmatched, and she vaulted over the laser with a series of palm blasts. Then, before I could fire another attack, Bakugo palmed the air in front of her, creating a flaming ball that shot forward like a missile.

My lightning tendrils quickly pulled me aside, and I turned to watch the burning sphere fly harmlessly past me, only to feel a surge of energy from the projectile.

Almost without warning, the flaming ball exploded with a shocking force that nearly knocked me out of the sky. I barreled head over ass through the air before my tendrils grabbed hold and stopped me dead.

But before I could gather myself, Bakugo's fist slammed into my gut, followed by a surge of energy that I had no control over. Another explosion and I was sent flying once more, my face contorted in pain and a massive scorch mark decorating my abs.

After experiencing Bakugo's newfound strength, I realized she had somehow managed to imbue my body with an explosion. And the slight delay meant Bakugo had triggered it consciously, 'meaning that she can turn anything she touches into a bomb.'

Still flying through the air, I wasn't surprised when Bakugo suddenly appeared above me, her hands clenched together into a hammer that she brought down in an overhead slam.

Time slowed down as I stared into Bakugo's eyes, and the resolute confidence burned within as she basked in the glory of her newfound power, 'You're welcome, Firecracker. Now I don't feel so bad about stealing this match from you.'

At supersonic speed, my hand shot up, latching onto Bakugo's face as my palm began to glow and crackle with a surge of lightning, 'Though I am sorry about the migraine; you're going to wake up, too.'
