Karenina quickly squatted down and embraced Roxanne in her arms, hugging her tightly and kissing her as if they were separated from each other for years. She picks up Roxanne and sits on the bed while her maid Lena brings fresh beverages for everyone in the room.
Maximus awkwardly rubbed the back of his head as he greeted Romeo. It was very unnatural for him to meet Romeo in person. Maximus now has the stories to tell his mates when he returns to the Pack and no-one will fucking believe him.
"You did a good job, Maximus," Romeo complimented him, and Maximus found himself shaking in excitement.
Oh but that's not it. Romeo steps forward and patting proudly on Maximus' right shoulder, he praises him, "You are really good with babysitting kids. How about you receive the promotion and become the guardian warrior of my daughter?"
The offer was tempting. Too good to decline. He nodded profusely and bowed respectfully, pledging his loyalty towards Roxanne.
