Rhys really needed Kellen's comfort, and Kellen, wanting to comfort him, helped Rhys get undressed. He helped him wash up, clean up his wounds, and made sure he was okay. Rhys was in a daze, not quite himself.
Kellen hadn't seen him like this before, not even when he'd tried to drink away his problems, and Kellen felt in pain for seeing Rhys like this, while also grateful that he was allowing him to see him like this. Kellen, hoping that it would make him feel better, made sure he had his top off after he brushed his own teeth and crawled into bed.
He tucked the blankets in around Rhys, before he moved up, tucking Rhys' head against his chest. Rhys' arms came around him, and Kellen could feel his body rise and fall as he inhaled and exhaled loudly.
