The next day, Mael woke up fully determined to start his journey. He had many plans.
Number 1: Gain experience by hunting supernatural beings.
Number 2: Travel with Sabrina and enjoy moments as a couple.
Number 3: Visit the Men of Letters' bunker and copy all their supernatural knowledge using enchanted Minecraft books. Also, steal some of their items—especially the supernatural creature tracking device in their meeting room.
Number 4: Sell a lot of gold and earn a ton of money—or simply steal it.
Number 5: Buy a large area of land to build a castle and the future base of the Ten Commandments.
Number 6: Create a supernatural organization composed mainly of those with the gift of natural magic.
Over the past two years, Mael hadn't just trained in swordsmanship and breathing techniques—he'd also worked on his magical abilities and racial traits. He discovered he could form a kind of familial connection with people who possessed the gift of natural magic. Sabrina had inherited this gift from her mother. Using this ability, Mael could share parts of his own power with others who had the same natural magic.
The term "natural" typically refers to those whose power develops biologically. Not much is known about these witches, except that they're born with an innate affinity for the supernatural. According to Rowena, these witches are rare—making up less than half of the witchcraft community.
Once he learned this, Mael tried sharing his power with Sabrina—and it worked. He successfully shared the Commandment of Love, allowing her to use it just as he could.
Seeing that it didn't cause him any harm, Mael had an idea: form the Ten Commandments as his own supernatural organization, giving him more power to execute his plans.
After packing the car, Mael and Sabrina said goodbye to Cain and Ariel. Needless to say, Ariel cried a lot, talking about her little bird leaving the nest to start a family with Sabrina...
After all the family drama, Mael and Sabrina hit the road.
They traveled across the U.S., solving supernatural cases—and of course, enjoying their time together.
(Damn, just remembering Sabrina in a bikini gets me excited. Too bad she's not ready yet.)
Three months passed—three months filled with fighting ghosts, vampires, werewolves—you name it. These monsters were far stronger than portrayed in the series. The vampires, for instance, resembled those from The Vampire Diaries. They didn't have all the abilities, but their strength was on another level.
At the moment, Mael and Sabrina were investigating a series of kidnappings in Colorado, which led them to the quiet town of Blackwater Ridge.
Mael remembered that Blackwater Ridge was where the Winchester brothers once encountered a wendigo. So naturally, he suspected they were about to face one too.
But this one was different.
This wendigo seemed to focus only on kidnapping children, completely ignoring the parents. That's what troubled Mael. As far as he knew, the wendigo the Winchesters fought hunted only every 23 years. Doing the math, this couldn't be the same one.
This was a female wendigo. Extremely rare.
When female wendigos are pregnant, they feed exclusively on children.
"I'm sure we're hunting a female wendigo. We'll find her lair and attack tonight," Mael told Sabrina quietly, though anyone who knew him could sense the anger behind his calm tone.
"This one's planning a massive feast with the kids she's kidnapped. Female wendigos always die after childbirth, and they gather food so the baby won't starve—basically a sacrificial ritual for the newborn monster."
"We still have a chance to rescue the children," he added.
"Alright, I agree. Even though I'd rather just burn the entire forest down and be done with her," Sabrina muttered darkly.
Mael was used to her shifts. Daughter of a seraph, you'd expect her to be pure and gentle—but at times like this, the wrath of a seraph shined through.
Mael, descended from both an archangel's daughter and a demon, wasn't much different. Still, he managed to stay composed.
"We'll act quickly and come up with a plan once we get more information," he said.
"You're right, Mael. But we need a plan. She could hurt the children if we rush in."
"How do you want to search?" she asked. "Split up or stay together?"
"We'll stay together. We can fly, and I can mask our presence using grace—just like Mother taught us. She's likely hiding near an abandoned cave or mine."
"You're right. Let's go," she said, her tone eager for justice.
Mael formed a concealment barrier using grace. Their scent, energy, and even presence vanished—they were completely invisible.
They flew toward a forested area. Meanwhile, in a mine to the north, the kidnapped children huddled together, hungry and scared. When the monster screamed again, they cowered at the terrifying sound.
Eventually, Mael and Sabrina found the mine—just as Mael suspected.
"They're in the mine. And it doesn't look like the number of kidnapped children has increased. That's good. She seems to be hiding deeper inside, preparing to give birth. We don't have much time," Mael said.
"Any ideas?" he asked.
"You said she's keeping the kids together?"
He nodded.
"Then I'll get the kids out while you take care of the wendigo."
"Agreed. That gives you and the children time to escape safely."
As they neared the mine, Mael caught a whiff of the creature's disgusting odor.
"Ugh, what a stench. We're definitely close," Sabrina said, her appearance belying the menace in her voice.
"Now, let's split up. You rescue the kids—I'll handle the wendigo."
They separated. Mael continued alone and soon faced the female wendigo: 2.10 meters tall, a swollen belly, greenish skin. She roared and charged at him, claws ready to rip through steel.
He drew his sword, Reshiram, a weapon that harmed evil and doubled the damage of his attacks.
"Breath of Light, First Form: Red Light – Chaotic Burst!"
A blinding ray of light shot out in a straight line, obliterating the creature—and its unborn monsters. They wouldn't have survived anyway.
---
★ Red Light – Chaotic Burst (1st Form): Fires a destructive light shot in a straight line. Can fire up to three simultaneous rays in different directions before ending.

While Mael handled the monster, Sabrina guided the children out and waited for Mael to return.
Soon, he did—calm and composed. His arm was bloody, but it wasn't his, and he didn't seem to mind.
"Is it done, Mael?" Sabrina asked.
He nodded, watching her comfort the children with forced cheerfulness. It helped them, even though they were still shaken.
An hour later, the children were reunited with their parents. Mael altered their memories so they believed they'd been kidnapped by a human man—and that their parents had taken care of him.
Later, Mael and Sabrina returned to their hotel room to rest—and plan their next destination.
