Third person POV
After lunchtime and paying for it, Russell and his friends left the restaurant and split up to explore the wonders of Kate-Raler. Russell and Aren went westward together and suddenly, saw something from a distance: a bridge, a modern one. That sight of one of its supporting beams had struck Russell's memories. "What the…?" Russell responded.
"What was that?" Aren asked.
Both of them then ran to that location, only to be shocked at what they had discovered: a metal suspension bridge.
That bridge, which spans over 5 kilometers, connected one of YIF's side islands, the State of Baram, and it was made of metal and had paved roads on its 2-way road. It was called the Weston Bridge, a metal suspension bridge at 5 kilometers long and with 3 small islands at the feet of the bridge. This bridge was one of the four bridges built in the YIF. But this particular bridge had struck the memories of Russell because it resembled the San Juanico Bridge of the Philippines back in his previous life. "That hits me hard," Russell said to Aren. "It reminds me of San Juanico back in my previous life."
"Is that so.?"
"Yes."
At this hour, the Weston Bridge was not that busy, and since there were no modern vehicles, animals and animal-drawn vehicles made the majority of the traffic. But since it would be a bit boring to cross the long bridge, small street markets formed on the outer lanes of the bridge that offer food, small entertainments, and drinks. Furthermore, the 3 small islands had inhabitants living on their land. Roads connected the communities to the bridge, connecting them to the broader island.
