Third person POV
And so, Russell and his group went to climb to Medusa's little shrine-home through a stone pathway and a flight of long stairs, which had 40 steps. The climb was long, but it was worth it to confront Medusa, a goddess in a green and black hood with snakes as her hair. Whoever looks or glances at her will turn into stone, just like what Earth's Greek mythology would say to you. Upon arriving and setting foot on Medusa's property, they looked at Medusa, who funnily enough, was watering plants in a garden around her temple home.
"That's her, right?" Adrian asked while keeping his voice as low as possible.
Gregory then nodded. "Yes, and when you look at her, you'll turn into stone."
Adrian and the others were frightened by that fact.
So, to avoid being turned into stone, most of the group made improvised ways to avoid her turning them into stone. Rai, Ria, and Kelly made shades out of ice magic, while Janet used her laptop as a shield. Aren, Frannie, Adrian, and Cassius used various things, like small silver plates as shields.
But then, Medusa looked at them, and Russell, who didn't make or get a shield in time, looked down to avoid being turned into stone. Luckily, his bus driver's cap had been upgraded to have an ability called Visor Shield, an ability that was an exclusive, AAA-ranked one.
