The sun had started to set. About 2 days had passed since then. Axel had returned home in the meantime. He was going through the research notes that Felix and Maxwell had put together.
Downstairs the phone rang, Felix answered it. "I need to speak to Mr. Axel," the caller said. Felix could tell from the caller's voice that it was the hospital director.
Axel arrived quickly when he heard the conversation. He took the phone out of Felix's hand and answered it.
"Is there a problem?" Axel asked even though he already knew the answer. They wouldn't talk unless there was a problem with the hospital director.
"Boss, there was an unfortunate incident at our hospital," the manager spoke worriedly.
"What happened?" Axel asked, waiting to hear the situation, Maxwell had also arrived.
"Boss, there was a murder at the hospital," the manager was a bit worried.
"Tell me what happened." Axel remembered the woman he had seen earlier that day. He had first met her at the gas station. At the hospital, everything about her, from her clothes to the color of her eyes and hair, was different. This was the woman who had attacked Axel in the hospital parking lot.
"The patient was from a wealthy family. He came to our hospital because someone had shot him. Fortunately, he survived, but when the nurse went to check on him, she found the guards inside injured and unconscious. The man, however, was dead. The hospital director hoped that Axel wouldn't get angry.
Axel had gotten angry before and hit a guard. Seeing that, the director had often feared his anger. Axel's anger at that time was because the guard was a pedophile. Although hitting him was a crime, the police had made it easier for him.
Axel was sure that this woman was the murderer. Her suspicious behavior was consistent with the murder. "Has the killer been caught?" Axel asked the question he was curious about. This woman seemed to be a professional. She had incapacitated the guards and killed someone in a matter of minutes.
As Axel spoke, John had come down the stairs. He overheard the conversation.
"Unfortunately, the killer was not caught. The security cameras were disabled, so we couldn't identify the killer. Although the police spoke to a few witnesses, they only mentioned a blonde woman. There's talk of the FBI taking over the investigation." The hospital director provided information.
"Will our hospital be affected?" Axel wasn't worried about money. He had made a lot of money for a long time. He had invested in several large companies. All he wanted was not to have to deal with a silly problem.
"Boss, the relatives of the deceased looked like they might cause trouble, but our lawyers took care of it. It's not possible for them to cause us any legal problems."
"Okay. Increase security. I don't want any more problems." Axel hung up the phone. He didn't want to talk anymore. If Axel solved every problem, he wouldn't need this manager.
"You seem to know something, Axel." John had understood from Axel's expression that he knew something.
"I have some ideas about who the killer might be." Axel ran his hand through his hair. He thought about what he should do now. He could report this woman to the police.
"Then why are we waiting? Let's go get her." Felix expected a positive answer from everyone.
Maxwell went to his room to get ready before Axel could answer. John wanted to go with them this time. He thought it would be exciting to catch the killer.
"No, we won't get involved. Axel's apartment was the scene of a crime. If the killer isn't caught, the hospital could be negatively affected. Most of what the manager said was a lie. Who goes into a hospital without security?" Maxwell found the decision illogical. He was angry, as his expression showed.
While Felix and John remained silent, they waited for an explanation from Axel.
"If no one wants to come to my hospital, I don't care. Look, you're my brother. We would risk our lives for each other. Trust me, brother. A feeling inside me tells me to go on like this."
"If you say so, okay." Maxwell's angry expression disappeared. He trusted Axel.
"I'm not leaving just because I'm coming, am I?" John was annoyed. Felix had been telling him travel stories for a few days to annoy him. He exaggerated the views and the magic of nature in the places they went. Although John seemed to ignore it, he was jealous.
"I promise, John. When we leave, I'll let you know first." Axel promised to reassure John. Axel always kept his promises.
"Okay. Then let's all train while we're here." John suggested training as an activity because he was bored.
They didn't have to train all the time because they weren't human.
"Let's do it." Axel went out into the garden. John, Felix, and Maxwell joined him.
As Axel, Felix, and Maxwell took their training positions, John watched them. Despite his age, John was wise and strong, but handling the energy of young vampires could be difficult. In the garden, as the shadows of the trees lengthened and the last rays of the sun gave way to night, the atmosphere seemed perfect for training.
Axel faced Felix. Their eyes were focused, their muscles tensed. Both had grace and speed in their movements, which was their most distinguishing feature that set them apart from normal humans. Maxwell waited off to the side, eager for his turn.
Felix made the first move. His speed was too fast for the human eye to follow. For a moment he jumped out of his seat and lunged at Axel. Axel moved almost instinctively to block Felix's attack. His fingers caught Felix's wrists and tried to push him to the ground.
With a quick movement, Felix broke free of Axel's grip and retreated. Then Felix attacked again. This time he aimed for a low kick, trying to knock Axel off balance. But Axel, as if anticipating the kick, moved his body to the side to avoid Felix's move.
With a quick turn, Axel got behind Felix and delivered a powerful punch. Felix, realizing the punch was coming at the last moment, ducked, but Axel had increased his speed. The wind from the punch ruffled Felix's hair. Axel immediately followed with a kick, knocking Felix to the ground.
Maxwell realized it was his turn and immediately jumped in, taking Felix's place. Both immediately took up their positions. Maxwell had the more aggressive style. His first move was to lunge at Axel, quickly throwing his punches and kicks. Axel deftly avoided these attacks.
Maxwell was determined to push Axel to the limit. He aimed a high kick at Axel's head, but Axel dodged by leaning down and taking advantage of Maxwell's imbalance to deliver a powerful blow. Maxwell fell to the ground, but quickly got back up.
John, watching from the sidelines, smiled slightly. He enjoyed seeing the young vampires' fighting skills and their respect for each other. The dynamic between Axel, Felix, and Maxwell not only made them strong, but also increased their trust in each other.
When Maxwell lunged at Axel again, Axel was ready for him this time. He caught Maxwell's fist and used his momentum to throw Maxwell to the ground. As Maxwell lay on the ground, he smiled weakly and shook Axel's hand firmly. "I'm defeated this time,"
Axel helped him to his feet. "You fought well, Maxwell. You all fought well," John joined them and the training session ended.
